What did i say huh? Usopp is goated in his own way! nobody expect that! How Sugar got jumped,i think the logical reason is she didnt expect it, she expected a poison or atleast sleeping pill and Usopp slowly dies or atleast scream in pain ,but when Usopp naturally act to spiciness he accidentally makes crazy face (that he always did, it is one of his character traits) and to be that close to Sugar ofc she got jumpscares by it haha

so satisfying and a relief to see everyone who were toys turn back to humans again.

I feel like the arc gets slowed/dragged on from 689-699 for me and also the last couple episodes towards the end of the arc, but this is still one of my top 3 arcs for sure

Just a reminder, Usopp spent 2 years training to get stronger, but he still has no Haki and he's going up against two Devil Fruit users. His chances of winning are pretty much near zero. But he dug deep, found whatever little courage he had, and fought like the warrior he's always wanted to be. He's still not the bravest guy around, but he showed up, gave it a shot, and he lost. Still, Usopp has always had that lucky streak and those perfectly timed gag moments that somehow bail him out when things get really bad, and this was no different. Timing and circumstance had a lot to do with it too. Everything just happened to line up in his favor at exactly the right moment. Sure, you could say it's unrealistic but some people just have that one-in-a-million luck that gets them through situations they really have no business surviving. Here's the thing, Sugar could have just touched him and turned him into a toy right then and there, and it would've been done. But instead, she wanted to be petty about it and shoved the Tatababasco ball into his mouth to get back at him and the Tontatta people. That completely blew up in her face. Usopp's reaction was so unhinged and terrifying that it literally traumatized her on the spot. Honestly, that's karma. After everything she did to the people of Dressrosa and the Tontatta tribe, she had it coming which in turn backfired on her and saved everyone and the mission was successful. And Usopp, though many would think is ridiculous, was the one that successfully knocked Sugar out and completed the mission.

So we goin back to 2x friday-sun again? Not that it matters, just curious

Dressrosa is for sure such a great arc but every arc keeps getting better and better

You have to remember that even Doffy and his people forget who the toys originally were, so they had no idea how much of a threat each toy is in a way. Hence why the Soldier was just seen as a nuisance, rather than a huge threat...

THIS EPISODE CHANGES EVERYTHING ‼️‼️‼️‼️ Nah but deadass though, the tides are indeed turning since Sugar's initial defeat. Since we are now at this point (Ussop's big moment) i kinda just wanna engage in some dialogue about this. As a one piece anime/manga viewer, I'm curious to know where people stand with Ussop's character for the ones who truly do enjoy his character (only up to the point we are now). If I'm being honest, during the pre-time skip arcs Ussop was a top 3 strawhat for me with how both his character and feelings resonated with my own. He was this coward who would step to the face of danger if his friend's dreams were laughed at or had their lives threatened. Inevitably he does get moments every arc moving forward and even in post-time skip (Punk Hazard & Dressrosa) he's contributing and is an overall cool character. However in the later half -- about where we are right now, he's starting to become so unfunny and all of his antics are beyond old. This is kind of the reason why Sanji is on the lower end of my top Strawhats when many have him super high. Of course there's the "Its not ODA its the studio dragging ts to hell and back" 😭✌️. To each their own so no disrespect to anybody, kinda just wanted to see other perspectives and discuss! ♥️ EDIT: Forgot to mention this during the OG post but he scared Sugar to the point of unconsciousness? Are we deadass?🥺💔 To a certain extent you could say that "Sugar's mental aging stopped at 10 when she ate the fruit so she could be scared by a goofy face" or "OP is a super comical anime so don't take it to the heart." yeah fair enough, its just underwhelming that this is how the sugar faceoff went when you compare it to perona who had a similar yet better interaction and battle overall imo.

The story getes soooo much deeper lol. Cant wait for future eps AND the NEXT arc!
