You guys know you can just listen to the characters pronouncing each other's names to learn how they're pronounced right? Like when you're reading the subtitle and trying to figure it out, they're literally saying it. That's why the subtitle is on the screen 😂 just listen to what the characters say. You guys got this 💪

I think people get upset with the pacing more so because its such a long arc. And because its so long there is always some part that any particular person can dislike about it.
I really love this arc, it was one of my favorites when i read it for the first time. (I was already anime caught up and reading the new chapters when this was coming out in the manga) however, going back and watching it i get the 'pacing' issues everyone had in the anime. It exists in the manga too (its still a LONG arc) but the anime seems to especially drag out some of the moments and 'filler' stuff. don't let people tell you how to feel though, this arc is AWESOME IMO and has a lot of really cool lore, moments and world building. It just may be dragged out a little much but, that doesn't mean the content still isnt good!

This arc is great and probably one of my favorite ones but just as some other ppl said the pacing is atrocious so it’s kind of frustrating to watch everything taking so long i hate toei for that but you guys will enjoy it
For real man it's such a pain... it feels like things are dragging way too much for what they really are. I remember when it was airing, it made me drop the anime because I felt like it was just getting slower and slower. I dropped twice during the arc and I completely stopped watching One Piece until literally half of Whole Cake Island had passed (unfortunately I currently stopped watching again lmao this is getting way too long to get answers and I'm kinda growing tired of the strawhats at this point, I'm waiting for REAL answers to pick it up !)
I feel it needs to be said, the criticism on the pacing of this arc is not directed towards the story of the arc itself nor towards Oda-sensei. This is an amazing arc, even being some people's favorite. The multiple storylines and characters are all wonderful and a treat to watch as they develop. In fact, if you read the manga, you will have ZERO complaints about the pacing. The pacing issues are all on Toei and are isolated to the anime adaptation only. You ever seen a stretched out 10 minute yt vid that could have easily been 30 seconds long? Yeah, that's essentially what Toei did with big parts of Dressrosa because the anime was catching up to the Manga fast. You'll know it when you see it, but it's definitely worth it to power through.
Even with the pacing each manga chapter and episode is 1:1 so the actual pace would be the same regardless of how much filler is put in.
Haha we love Barto! XD Dressrosa has just too many characters introduced in this arc and too many scenes and stories to be told that it feels long. You'll be even more shock after the whole arc finishes.

Barto one of my favorite characters and he got one of the coolest designs in the show imo. Surprised y'all haven't caught his VA yet. Hint: Naruto character. 😏 Ron, the old man was saying if he would've found out about Garps son Dragon sooner, you (Luffy) wouldn't have been born. Meaning he would have killed Dragon. Also the devil fruit is real. Remember the guy in the alley who was talking to Luffy & Franky explained what happens to a DF when the user (Ace) dies.

exactly what you said, its a lot of stories being covered simultaneously so it can make the pacing feel bad sometimes but it all converges and in the end I think its worth it
5:25 I won’t understand why they bothered to change that in translation… amongst other poor translation choices. Bellamy says, “I’ll no longer laugh at you anymore” implying he won’t laugh at Luffy’s dreams anymore since he experienced that dream himself. not a “i’m done picking on you”
