Pay attention to the power dynamic set up, there are strong sorcerers, strong curses … and then pay attention to how the story tries to point to the gap between all of them vs. Sukuna and Gojo

An important detail i saw a lot of people confused about: On the topics of the higher ups and why they haven't acted with all their influence its literally just that havent tried to stop the Culling Game because ending it would have required destroying Tengen’s barriers, which are critical to suppressing cursed spirits and maintaining the balance of jujutsu society. Tengen’s barriers prevent curses from spreading uncontrollably and are instrumental in keeping cursed energy contained especially in Japan. Destroying them would have undone over a thousand years of progress in the war against curses, risking global catastrophe. Kenjaku exploited this by threatening to destroy the barriers, forcing the Higher-ups (through Kogane, the game’s overseer) to accept rules that prolonged the game rather than end it. This created a moral and strategic trap. stopping the Culling Game meant risking the collapse of the entire system that protected humanity from curses. Moreover, the Higher-ups were already deeply corrupt and self-serving, prioritizing tradition, hierarchy, and control over human lives. The Culling Game was less an external invasion and more a catastrophic manifestation of their systemic failures, with Kenjaku merely exposing and weaponizing their existing flaws. THIS is exactly why Tengen wants Yuki and Choso to protect them in case Kenjaku comes to kill him because without those barriers or having those barriers now in Kenjakus control its clear cut all hell broke loose

Referring to the bomb specifically, the "bomb" symbolizes the culmination of Kenjaku’s experiment a moment where he steps back and lets chaos unfold, ensuring the outcome exceeds even his vast intellect. Not a literal bomb being dropped lol So the bomb is referring to a cataclysmic event Kenjaku will introduce into the Culling Game or something he is waiting for to happen within the culling game. You REALLY have to view Kenjaku as aizen everything he does is a chess move and there's almost always a secondary reason for something he does Also even Kenjaku himself doesnt know what would emerge from the fusion of Tengen’s power and the souls of all Japanese people everything he's doing is to create ultimate chaos

Do you watch MrBallen, Ron? One of my fave youtube channels, he's always giving us the strange, dark and mysterious in story format. xD I don't know, I'm the opposite. I don't wanna see that bootyhole named Sukuna, EVER AGAIN. I understand the allure of some villains in media (my favorite has to be Sephiroth from FF7) but Sukuna? I do not wish for him to appear thematically, narratively, or for fun 😭 I want him to stay far away from the plot for MY SAKE lol.

So for the sukuna bit the only reason he interfered was because mahitos domain touches the soul and touched sukunas soul but he didn’t come out during jogos domain so he wouldn’t come out during domains it was just mahitos cuz it touched sukunas soul

Also yes Sukuna is impacted if somebody happens to yuji but he really doesn’t care if he dies the reason he was reacting before was because mahito’s domain touched sukuna’s soul directly when he was trynna attack yuji so as long as they don’t directly have an attack that targets sukuna’s soul he’s not gonna do anything

Just a reminder, Sukuna isn’t a cursed spirit like mahito or Jogo. he was and is a real person/jujutsu sorcerer from 1000 years ago and like Kashimo is reincarnated. He’s referred to as a curse which can be confusing cause he’s not actually a cursed spirit that sorcerers exercise. There’s also a difference between shikigami and curses, megumi controls shikigami not curses, and higuruma has a shikigami.

Wow I loved this episode

Honestly I'm impressed with Mappa they seriously elevated the source material for JJK. If they're doing this much for these scenes I can't WAIT for the bigger scenes later in the story. This is one of the few cases where the anime has surpassed the manga and I hope that stays true till the end. BTW Kashimo's the goat, can't wait for you guys to see more of him.

If you noticed there was a lot of usage of sun flowers throughout this episode. Higuruma has a sun flower pin on his jacket, the camera sits on sunflowers at one point for a bit, it’s another name for the kanji in Higuruma(日車), the way Higuruma’s shikigami (Judgeman) emerges from a literal Sunflower silhouette during the trial, because in Japan it resembles Justice, hope, and ironically fairness even though from this episode we see thats not the case. The directing with little things like this, as Ron was saying at the end, really make a show legendary.

Well with the whole “Sukuna is impacted by what happens to itadori” and being worried about domain expansions, Mahito was a very specific case. His Domain Expansion automatically touches the soul of anybody inside of it, so in that case Sukuna felt personally disrespected. As long as he’s not being directly impacted then he’s chillin. So it’s not as if Yuji is like “immune” to Domain Expansions because he has Sukuna Also in case you read Yuji currently has 15 fingers inside of him.
