And to think if Gojo didn't listen to Toji and snatched up Megumi when he did, Megumi would be dead right now lol. Maki would've killed him too. The storytelling for this anime is so good. These manga artists are damn near geniuses.

Kenjaku mentioned this at the end of last season but he has basically been making pacts with sorcerers from different eras over the past 1000 years to resurrect them for the current culling games. There’s reasons behind why they would agree to this but that will be revealed later. Also keep in mind Sukuna was from 1000 years ago and Kashimo is from 400 years ago, different eras so they have not previously met.
yall should rewatch Kenjaku speach at that end of season 2. these ancient all got awankened at the end of Shibuya when he used mahito technique. they aren't all from Sukuna era.

In the previous season kenjaku said that he basically „revived“ sorcerers from the past from different eras to participate in the culling game. In further episodes you gonna see alot more ancient sorcerers who have been „revived“ by kenjaku for the game
The whole thing with Kirara and their gender discussion is so annoying... in Japanese, they don't use he/her/they, it's just gender-neutral when they refer to each other, including Kirara. The dif. streaming services are trying and failing to translate it so ppl. know that: yes, was def a boy and yes, def. is something other/more than a boy now. The same w. the English translated manga. A lot of manga readers use the English translated manga as Source Material in the discussion. The actual Source Material and Gege has never confirmed exactly what they are. Only that Kirara originally was male. We even see them as a young boy in the manga, so that's confirmed. The same for Uraume (the white haired person Sukuna knows from 1000 years ago), their original gender (from what I remember) was confirmed as male, but the body they awaken in, is female. Kirara is born a boy, whatever they are now idk. be it trans, gender fluid, non binary, femboy whatever! But Kirara was still a boy, before they left Jujutsu High w. Hakari, so panda wasn't aware till now. Even Kirara's VA is a guy, he just sounds very feminine.
kirara is transfemme. end of story. people conflating transfemme with "femboy" is gross. she used to be a boy, however, she's referred to only with feminine and ambiguous pronouns after the characters see her. it's been years since they'd all seen her and that's what leads to the confusion among them and their use of pronouns. I agree though that the community discussion about it is annoying. regardless they, or she, is not a boy. and it shouldn't be hard for people to accept that.
Kirara is* a he, not she. *(Edit: was) Panda said in the previous episode that Kirara is a boy when Fushiguro asked if the other 3rd Year student(Kirara) is a boy. Edit: P.S cause someone people don't read and can be rude. I have to clarify that I know Kirara is a trans now. It's obvious. The fact was he was a boy at least according to when he was still in Jujutsu High. 🙄

Yesss. In season 2 Kenjaku said he bought back about like 12 people from sukunas era with idle transfiguration. Angel and kashimo are 2 people we’ve seen from a long time ago
Kashimo is not from the same Heian era as Sukuna and Uraume. He's from the Edo era. Angel hasn't mentioned it in the Anime yet from which era she is, so I won't spoil that. Kenjaku has unleashed thousands of ppl. into the Culling Game, where some are the awakened sorcerers like Kashimo and Angel, whom are some of the many many sorcerers he has made pacts with over the 1000 of years he's been around.
*****Possible Spoiler******** Any manga readers waiting with trepidation for the ending? (Obviously that depends on if you enjoyed it or not.) I was bored with it so I hope the anime can change it. I wouldn't want to watch that ending again.
Kirara's technique is so unique. Kashimo looks so cool. I know he's gonna be another favorite character of mine lol
When Hakari mentions that Gojo said his Cursed Energy is "Rougher" than others. Hakari is one of two people confirmed in the entirety of JJK to have a Cursed Energy Trait which means his Cursed Energy has an innate property baked into it automatically, like a burning or freezing effect in a video games but in Hakaris case in the manga its stated from Yuji its like getting hit with a Serrated Edge because his energy is just rough by default. So he literally has a default buff on his cursed energy which is advantageous in JJK specifically because of how it works if you hit someone with cursed energy. If someone blocks your attack they will negate the physical blow but you will still get effected by the trait of the attack. Easiest way to think about it is like blocking a hit from an enchanted fire sword, you'll block the sword but that fire will burn you lol.

Remember Yuji is blood related to Choso and Choso and his brothers where experimented on by kenjaku, who gave birth to Yuji while inside his mothers body, so by technicality Yuji basically has 3 parents just like Choso he has his mom who was dead, his dad Jin and Kenjaku who was inside his mother, just food for thought.

Finally get to see Kirara's technique and Hakari's strength! Thank God they changed the director for this episode, by Seimei Kidokoro (who also did Vinland Saga, Naruto the movie, Boruto etc) 🥹 So far the directions by Kidokoro(this episode) and Takumi Ichikawa (for ep. 3, the explanation of culling games, he also did the latest Bleach season and Delicious in Dungeon etc) are my favorites, elevating the original manga as an anime without taking away the meaning from it.

I think that filming/animating technique is called Rotoscoping where you basically trace over a one shot live action sequence. Smiling friends does this for example as a joke because compared to how everyone else is drawn they stand out
Basically sorcerers like Kashimo and Angel haven’t been in the story this entire time, they just “woke up” when the culling games began. Kenjaku awakened 2 types of people when the games began (end of season 2) 1) People who ate cursed objects (like how Yuji ate sukunas finger) that basically ended up reincarnating different sorcerers from different time periods (Kashimo from 400 years ago and Angel from 1000 years ago). 2) People who had cursed energy/techniques but lacked the ability to use them (Takaba the comedian introduced end ep 3) So some people are just regular humans who’ve had their techniques awoken randomly, and some are people who have literally had their bodies taken over by ancient sorcerers from hundreds to thousands of years ago.

so for players that are centuries old are not actually people who been around the entire time, Kenjaku has been around since thousand years and throughout his life he made a deal with many sorcerers basically telling them he can bring them to life if they join the culling game in the future, when Kenaju started the games after shibuya he released those souls to reincarnate into modern humans also Hajime Kashimo said he was from 400 years ago, by prior info Sukana was from 1000 years ago

Kashimo is from 400 years ago Sukuna is from a 1000. Kenjagu said he reincarnated sorcerers from many years ago so when he got Mahito he relesed the seal meaning he and everyone else like sukuna reincarnating in Yuji's body is back.
