They really don’t. I’m not sure they even understand makima is not a good person and every single interaction she had in this movie was manipulation. Ron saying hell yeah to the date disappointed me
on them hot summer days when being outside can be miserably hot....an a/c filled day of movie hopping was to the go-to play. Just had to be on the slow days when staff didn't really care to pay attention.
You have heard the male singer Kenshi Yonezu who sung the first Chainsaw Man opening song 'Kick Back'. The Reze arc movie opening song is 'Iris Out' by Kenshi Yonezu and ending song 'Jane Doe' is by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada(famous singer who sung 'First Love').
beams VA is also Tanjiros VA, the gun devil killed millions in one blast so Reze is not stronger at all. Loved this movie and Reze character, truly would've been nice to see Denji with her but Makima i feel was watching the whole time, I think Makima is pure evil.

I personally didn't really like the movie when I watched it in theaters, I was bored during the first part of the movie (I hate Makima and the whole "Denji wants to date her" skit) and then too stimulated during the second half, so much so that I had forgotten about the ending before a friend of mine reminded me of it. I watched it again at home and preferred that experience. For me, it's a very nice movie to watch at home, with an awesome soundtrack, but not so much in theaters : it felt like a reallyyyyy long anime episode that I could've watched on Crunchyroll. It didn't hype me up for what's to come as we have no new info at all, even about the dream. However, apparently, things are going to get really good, according to the manga readers so I'll trust them and see what's next.
*anime only* the show doesnt really have a lot of substance imo and i find the characters to be cool/funny but lack depth BUT it is the beginning of the show so cant really judge too hard yk but still i dont really see it happening. coo animation and fights tho lololol

Definitely ship Makima and Denji! I dont see how people want Reze and Denji together i mean difference of opinion but man she tried to kill him and she has also killed innocent ppl. I can see if her feelings for him was real but it was all fake and pretend which she even admitted. So wanting them together is kinda toxic imo. Denji was literally with Makima, peaceful, enjoying himself, she was nice to him, wasn't trying to kill him etc lol
Brother you need to work on not just watch but understand what you watch. Makima was literally hinted in this movie by Beam that she has connections to the gun devil (or forces) and that Reze's feelings was true which she was too afraid to realize until the very end.
This movie really solidified my hatred for Makima lol like Reze is best girl for sure, she and Denji would've been so good for each other, real love right there. I wish they could've run away together.

In the pool scene, the metaphor of the spider and the butterfly can be interpreted as actually Denji catching Reze... She was supposed to kill him from the start (That's why her hand was in her neck when they meet each other) but then she actually started to realize how much alike they were, she understood him and wanted to help him... eventually falling in love

Phenomenal movie definitely 1000/10 the animation is chefs kiss. So much detail put into it. We had some little romance slice of life vibes to eventually some great action. When Reze bit off Denji's tongue the movie took a crazy turn. I suspected her from the very start lmao. She's bat shit crazy and she strong as hell. I pronounce Reze as Ree-zay, like Rize from Tokyo Ghoul remember her? But might be pronounced differently I could be wrong. Glad your finger is doing better Ron. Y'all have a great xmas. DS Movie was also Fire but i think this one is overall the better movie. DS was like 80% Flashback and Backstory. Way too much, I almost fell asleep several times but in this movie here, never so good. Perfect Pace

im so curious - im anime only and ofc only saw s1 before the movie, why do so many ppl say "hell yeah" or seem excited/happy when makima asks denji on the date?? lmao i think i interpret makima 1000% differently than others. denji has -1000% chance to get with her. i think from ep 1, 2, and whatever episode she told him about the gun devil it's clear she is just using denji (and aki). she seems like a cold expert manipulator from s1 in my eyes. she only flirted with denji just to do "carrot and stick", immediately cutting it off then asking him a "favor" lmao
like how do ppl not hear denji say "makima found my heart, so it belongs to her" and not think "omg you poor manipulated kid who is being strung along since you have the emotional experience of a 5 year old" 😭 free denji from makima till it's backwards!!!

Wow this movie gives me a whole new appreciation for Chainsaw man. I only heard about this story from seeing Pochito stuffed animals and seeing ep 1 years ago. That was really beautiful direction, seeing her walk away after Denji revives her was so sad - and then obviously the ending. I'm still in shock

Just in case you thought those spears that came down from the sky and killed Reze were Makimas powers, they weren’t. Those were the Angel Devils powers, he can make weapons like that. Basically Makima just using someone else again
OST was a masterpiece, same composer did the ost for the anime and he also did the first & second seasons of Dandadan he genuinely DONT miss 💯

This movie is 100% canon and has an impact on the story. Not just best anime movie of the year but one of the best movies in general of the year, absolute cinema. Also you’re not supposed to have a clear understanding of makima’s powers so don’t worry.

It is cannon guys! And the singer at the ending is kenshi. He is the one from the first opening too. His voice is just so awesome and the meaning on the name of the song goes so well with reze. It’s just pure cinema!
