Functional Oven Mitts!

✨Do you ever just watch your Sims do the most mundane things? Vacuuming, brushing their teeth, wiping counters, doing laundry — all those tiny details that make the game feel alive. Then they bake a whole tray of cookies, pull it out of a blazing hot oven, and just… grab the pan with their bare hands..

Excuse me?? Where are the oven mitts? Where’s the realism? Where’s the drama of almost burning your fingertips over brownies?

That’s why I made this mod: a small but much-needed realism detail that lets your Sims actually wear oven mitts/gloves while baking. It’s simple, cute, practical, and honestly something the game should’ve had already. Watch vid here!

✨What this mod does✨:

This mod adds wearable oven mitts/gloves for Sims who bake. Click the oven mitts, choose a style, and your Sim will put them on before handling hot food. ( I suggest as they wait for the food in the oven to put them on!) To change into a different mitten simply remove the ones your sim is using and apply a different one! For realistic gameplay, pick the mittens in Buy Mode you know your sim likes and choose for them to wear those!

✨This cute buff comes up when you sims is actively wearing the mitts!✨

✨Optional Add-On: First Degree Burns✨

For extra realism, there is an optional add-on that gives Sims a First Degree Burns buff only if they bake without wearing oven mitts.

Don’t want burns? Don’t install the add-on.
Want kitchen consequences? Add it in.

This mod requires the original Kitchen Mittens CC. Please download the glove version ONLY from the creator before starting your game. Make sure you grab the mittens object from below!

To respect the creator’s TOU, their files are not included in my download. My mod simply adds gameplay use to the mittens — wearable gloves, baking realism, and optional burn consequences.

Grab the mittens first, then let your Sims cook safely.
