Foxglove Comics has a new website! This has been an ongoing project for the last year and I (Caytlin) personally put a ton of work and overtime into it, including lots of new little illustrations around the site. Go check it out!!
Cayt: This sequence was a lot of fun for me. I referenced photos of dog fights to really bring the unsettling savagery into it. Piper's mention of "animals" is a reminder that there are regular animals in the world, and creatures (the sapient, anthro characters) consider themselves above animals and animal instincts. It's a constant throughline in the story, if you know where to look.
Ari: Balancing comedy and serious themes is often a challenge, but it's never hard to lighten the mood when Piper is around.

In Caytlin's comments she used the term 'sapient' to describe the characters. While this is absolutely correct, I must say I prefer the term 'sentient' simply because in most definitions it includes the awareness of the difference between 'right and wrong' as a defining point, and I believe that to be the basis of reason. Also, sapient strikes me as biased toward humans (homo sapien sapien) and discounting the possibility of reasoning and deeper awareness from other species. That being said, Caytlin and Ari are creating one of the best stories I have ever seen; which is why I am a patron and will remain one as long as I can or as long as they continue!
Why did Kira attack Cur when he told him what he wanted to say to his parents?
