There's a little reference to The Golden Compass on Jonas's book, because it's been a huge influence in my work and I thought it would be fun to put a lil easter egg in c:

Jonas says it so casually. Seeing her hacking up a lung like people who have Asthma [personal experience with such coughing and Seeing my late-Mother doing that on the regular due to her own list or ailments] probably will have Jonas cares for Tamberlane.
I hope I’m not spoiling the story but something tells me that with that cough of Tamberlane’s she and Belfry will have to go to abroad and help her. I hope not but still just a thought. Also I hope we get to who ever saved Tam and Jonas with that rope too.
Oh finally I’m so glad to see little Tamberlane but I’m starting to worry about that coughing. I am happy to see Jonas awake and doing well though.
These koffs worries me
It's pneumonia. Nothing about this is unusual. It'll come good on its own eventually, but it will take more than just a week for Tam to fully recover.
