Valencian Spring! | Small Updates
Hey guys! Town of Passion, 0.7 is now fully underway on the development side of things so I'll be able to start bringing more teases and hints as the weeks go on!
The Patron poll that I created last week had Minerva beating M by a close margin so I'm excited to share her spring look with you guys! Similar to the Halloween event, all of these costumes are inspired off of other designs so maybe you guys might recognize her outfit!
== Release Date ==
I think late April will be pushing it so I would look forward to a May release. With Zombie's Retreat now occupying some of my time, it's much easier to release builds of both games on a 2 month schedule.
While this does mean you have to wait a little longer, what it also does is give artists for both games the time to actually finish what's needed for each build instead of rushing to cram content in. It also gives me a much needed mental break from each game to focus on the other. Overall this is a VERY healthy change for the quality/progress of the games and for my own mental health. Hopefully you guys are okay with that!
== New Save File ==
Starting in 0.6, I implemented a new plugin that allows for a quest log. This quest log is currently used in Zombie's Retreat. I've decided I want to implement it in Town of Passion to make it easier to know where you need to go with the various women. There is one issue, save files made before this plugin was enabled (before 0.6) will NOT work.
I highly encourage you to make a brand new save file in ToP 0.6 or 0.7 and when I actually begin using the quest log, your save will not be affected. I will implement it in either 0.7 or the upcoming build most likely. When I do, I will upload a nearly completed save file so you don't have to re-do everything. Don't forget you can share save files and can change your name in the Bunny Manor!
Apologies for the inconvenience but I want to really improve the narrative focus of ToP in the next few builds and this is an important step! It should also be a very nice QOL change for you guys as well.

And that's about all for this update. There are a lot of big changes I'm planning in the next few builds of Town of Passion so stay tuned! With the game's development moving past the 1 year mark, I want to take the next step in making ToP feel like a complete game with a deep story. The 1.0 update should be coming up soon and it will be a pretty big step towards that!

It is a really fun game to play. I wanted to know, if you can achieve your goal of 1.750, will you keep the same pace as for updates or will they come faster. (btw, sorry for my poor english if my sentence doesn't make any sense)
Hitting the goal won't mean faster updates but I have been able to commission more from the artists lately! A lot of how fast updates come depends on how busy they are with other commitments. Glad you're enjoying the game! =)
Will you add other languages? I'm from Brazil, I speak PT-BR, so the game gets a bit difficult without understanding the dialogs and slow if you stop copying and translate everything. Other than that the game is doing very well, it has great art, and a good story.
I just want to say that I LOVE your GAMES especially the TOWN OF PASSION. I played this game like 50 times and i cant stop playing. Please make more content on the story of the game cause in the 6.8 update. The story is a little short and its easy to finish. i know you are busy with making these games but please keep up the good work. And one more thing. Can you give hints to what we can expect in the next update. Cause im really hooked up with these games of yours. ^_^
0.7 will be a fun side story highlighting the rivalry between M and Rose. The story should really start amping up around the 1.0 update as I want to focus specifically on story progression and some of the main villains! Glad you're enjoying the game!! =) Thank you for your support!
Well this will be interesting with the new page, hope it is great and see lots of bunnies (or maybe on in this case)! Totally called Minerva there because her hair gave her away! xD Funny enough, when it was said the Goddess of the Spring I was thinking of the Greek Goddess Persephone (or called Kore). Because I have for a long time seen in this project on the use of Mythology. Particularly the Greek Mythology. Nyx of course being the Greek Goddess of the Night, a beauty that even Zeus was afraid of. Nyx having a brother Erebus (God of Darkness), which they both had 2 sons (yep, I know what you are thinking), Thanatos (God of Death) and Hypnos (God of Sleep, he even put Zeus to sleep so that Hera could interfere with Hercules with his 12 Tasks to enter Olympus), but she gave birth to other Gods and Goddess without Erebus. Minerva, which is from the Roman Mythology (as the Goddess of Wisdom) but the Greek equivalent being Athena (Goddess of Wisdom, Weaving and Warfare). M (would love to know her real name by the way) mentions in her Diary about a Goddess that is Blonde and wore white, which I can assume is Aphrodite? Knowing this does lead me to a very, very big question on the MC. If he is indeed in contact with the Goddess Realm and no mortal other than him can access or enter it, would that make him a Demi-God? Because there is no mention of his father, no mention where the men are in the village. Making it an Amazonian village, all following a Goddess (reminds me of Athena's virgin follows). The so-called "Curse" placed on M makes me think of Medusa and Poseidon with the desecration of Athena's Temple story. Medusa being a beautiful virgin follower of Athena before being raped by Poseidon (or was his lover, there are many variations!), and thus Athena punished Medusa to become what she is known being "Hissss" (Poseidon of course getting off scott free being, well, male and a God). Or is this theory too insane and he just got powers transferred from Minerva, in which she can truly be using her Wisdom in him helping her. Thus explaining the "dream" in the beginning. Then again, choosing between Lust and Passion leaves me with another question, why are those options there? No matter what is chosen it holds nothing because you go through the game normally anyway. Which leaves me to believe that maybe the possibility where the player can choose which path for the characters earning either Lust or Passion points. That leaves another thought on the tip of my tongue, if those options are there, maybe a third can be placed for choosing both routes? Sorry to those that see this as a history lesson. Just me and my thoughts in this regard. ;) Have a nice day! :D
Glad you've been comparing to some real mythology here! I will say, not everything in here is correct as far as the lore but you've actually hit some nice little points ;) I'll hint that while the naming of the Goddesses does have a fair bit of importance, not everything is entirely following the real mythology behind the characters. But again, you're speculating some cool stuff!
