HS2CharEdit Devlog #6 - hurdles and victories
Just a couple things I'm eager to share today:
- Name editing - I'm 90% finished with this. The trouble is that the card data has about a dozen places where it defines the position and size of blocks of data, so if you change the length of the name there's 8 different keys of data that have to be changed accordingly, and one of them keeps messing up on me.
- Negative numbers - you'll be able to type them in soon. Also I'm making changes to the way changes are saved to memory so the whole thing should sort of perform better.
- Personality stats - coming soon. I just need to add them and then wrestle some dropdowns into the form.
- The next release will have VERSION CHECKING! That's right, now it'll tell you if you can download a new version. No more need to read these blogposts and sift through my rambling. (but please read these posts anyway)
- I'm getting into BetterRepack! STN confirmed that he's going to bundle HS2CharEdit into the tools for the next release. Awesome!
