Happy new year + news
To all fans, supporters, and lovers of Life in Alphaville, I wish you an excellent New Year! May this year be filled with achievements, love, health, peace, and all the good things you truly deserve. Please know that I’ll always be rooting for your happiness and success!
With the arrival of the new year, I’ll also be bringing you news about what to expect in the next update. There have been a few subtle changes that I needed to make in order to streamline the game’s development process. I’ll explain all of these changes below, and over the coming days I’ll be posting exclusive scenes and going into more detail about these adjustments — which will not negatively affect your gameplay in any way.
The most significant change, especially for sandbox fans, is that this mode will be temporarily disabled until the story is fully completed. I had to make this cut to save time and focus on creating new story-driven scenes as the narrative progresses. For that reason, sandbox mode will only be re-enabled once Life in Alphaville is finished.
That said, there’s no need to worry if you previously chose this game mode. You will not lose your saved progress, and you’ll be automatically transitioned to the Visual Novel format, continuing the story exactly from where you left off.
Another small change will affect the gallery. For now, we’ll be removing the option to unlock photos through gifts, and all images will be obtained through points and/or story progression. I chose this approach to make the gallery easier and more intuitive to unlock. In the future, the PERV and LOVE point systems will directly influence the gallery content — with PERV unlocking more perverted photos and LOVE unlocking more romantic ones.
I’ve also spent a long time readapting the script. The game has many characters, which greatly enriches the story, but it can also become easy to lose focus among so many possibilities. Because of that, I selected a core group of female characters who will be part of the main campaign — meaning they’ll appear more frequently and have other storylines intertwined with theirs.
For example, Stella is Alexis’s sister; however, Alexis will be more recurrent in the story as she becomes a protagonist, while Stella will appear less often, acting as a secondary character.
Despite this, all characters will still have their own importance to the plot and will remain accessible for relationships, regardless of their nature. That said, Life in Alphaville has always revolved — and will continue to revolve — around Olivia, Emily, and Alexis, as they are the key characters driving the project toward its final outcome.
I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates to Life in Alphaville over the past months. That was genuinely my mistake, and because of that, it became necessary to make some cuts within the project so my creative capacity could recover. I truly thank everyone who stayed, who kept believing, and who reached out to me whenever needed.
May 2026 be an amazing year for all of us — and one filled with lots of Life in Alphaville!
