Monthly report
Hello, my dear subscribers!
Due to the unexpected difficulties that await a lone developer in 3D, I admit that I am stuck in progressing through Abduction.
I don’t want to plunge you into the jungle of technical problems, because this is not a blog for developers, but a blog for players.
From a playability point of view, the main problem is that the player on the UFO simply has nothing to do. We will do a massage and a little more, ok. This is all? How is this different then from just a visual novel, without any game mechanics? If nothing else, then maybe it’s worth staying in the graphics of the rendered video, like my past projects, visually they are much higher than I have been able to squeeze out of the 3D engine so far.
Or leave the spicy part in the video, and move inside the ship in 3D? A mystery for me, because as a player I’m not interested in playing my game yet, and this is not a good indicator...
The second project, Summer Holidays, took off while I was thinking. This is a real life simulator, where the main character has to do the work of a repairman and build relationships with housewives; ideas are easier there. 3D environment, large area, many characters, transport. So far I like the movement in this direction more.
Well, while thinking about where to move next, I decided to collect all the spicy videos that I have from all my projects, and put them all into a mini-game like a jigsaw, where the collected picture will come to life. The demo can be viewed on itch, I will fill the puzzle with other video stories and all my subscribers who have at least once been at the "Contactee" level will receive the full version as a bonus.
Well, please forgive me, 2 weeks of my working time were spent searching for a new home and moving, the old contract ended.
All the best, Vagabundo
