Fibrosis Treatment (Alveoli)

Fibrosis is the pathological accumulation and remodeling of extracellular matrix (ECM)—especially collagen—within a tissue after repeated injury, chronic inflammation, or abnormal repair. Normally, wound healing is a controlled sequence: inflammation removes damage, fibroblasts temporarily produce matrix to stabilize the area, and then much of that matrix is degraded and the tissue returns toward its original architecture. In fibrosis, this “repair program” fails to switch off. Signals such as TGF-β, CTGF, PDGF, inflammatory cytokines, mechanical stress, and persistent tissue injury keep fibroblasts activated, often converting them into contractile myofibroblasts that continuously deposit collagen and other matrix components. The result is not simply 'more scar tissue': the three-dimensional architecture of the tissue becomes progressively reorganized, with abnormal collagen cross-linking, altered stiffness, disrupted cell–cell and cell–matrix signaling, and impaired degradation of the accumulated matrix.

Its impact comes from the fact that tissue structure is part of tissue function. Excess matrix can physically replace functional cells, compress blood vessels and nerves, restrict diffusion of oxygen and nutrients, alter mechanical forces sensed by cells, and prevent surviving cells from communicating with their normal extracellular environment.

Consequently, fibrosis can become self-reinforcing and progressively reduce organ function even when the original injury has subsided.

In the alveoli, fibrosis causes excessive collagen and extracellular-matrix deposition in the normally ultra-thin alveolar-capillary membrane, making it thicker and stiffer. This increases the distance oxygen must cross, reduces alveolar compliance, and can destroy or distort the delicate capillary and alveolar architecture needed for efficient gas exchange. The result is a self-reinforcing cycle in which abnormal mechanical signaling and profibrotic pathways such as TGF-β promote further matrix deposition, progressively impairing breathing and oxygen transfer.

Use as needed.

PU, can this help with fibrosis due to smoking in the past?

Sure thing. Don't forget Reverse the Negative Effects of Smoking too.

Thank you PU! This is doing some deep healing on my lungs

Thank you so much PU!! am I guessing right that this will also help with atrophic scars(pitted acne scars)? Because they’re basically Fibrotic bands that are pulling the outer skin layer down? So i hope this will act like a subcision? Please kindly correct me if I’m wrong and if it’s not really helpful for that purpose would your skin healing one help or does that more designed for inflammation and calming down the skin? Anyway thank you so much PU

Hi, This one is specific for the alveoli, which are tiny, balloon-like air sacs located at the end of the respiratory tree in the lungs, where the body exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide. For the skin, you might want to use Atopic dermatitis and skin healing (crystal alchemy). I will eventually cover fibrosis in the skin.
