Lady Maria Released!

Hey friends,

Have you already joined the 150 participants of our ongoing Painting Contest? If you are still waiting for that one perfect model, perhaps Lady Maria (Bloodborne) by our art director Lora Kolori will scratch that itch?

Believe it or not, we had a huge fight over this figure's size the other week; the kind with flying cups, chairs, cats, and occasional axes. Being a firm believer that character height isn't even a thing in FromSoft games, where everything is decided by battle mechanics and weapon reachability, I stood my ground and refused to acknowledge that 216cm (7 feet) is "a completely regular height for an average lady". And I also discarded the claim that Maria, being a boss, should be at least as tall as Malenia, because otherwise nobody would even take her seriously. In the end we settled at 305mm for the figure, which is still a bit too much for an average shelf in my opinion, but if I pushed any further, I'd have to keep watching my back for the next couple months until Kolori's next model. But hey, if you want to get on Lora's good side and gain a couple points with her for a timely placed future request, just know that printing Maria in 1/6, 1/4, or even 1/2 is bound to put you in her good graces. Because Kolori really did her best with all those details and hates seeing them go to waste.
