That does actually happen look up fighters with massive win records and then look at their first 10-15 fights. The fighters they fight in that period generally don’t have the greatest records

Rocky 4 was the first one I ever saw so it holds a special place to me . Ranking Rocky 1 Rocky 2 Rocky 4 Rocky 5 Rocky 3 .
You guys keep forgetting that this is not a sports movie franchise. This is a love story told about a fighter. If you pay attention every time rocky is down, it is Adrian that brings him back. Even with Creed training him, nothing mattered until adrian brought him back. While the trainer does their part, none of it matters without Adrian. Don't forget that. It is the most important part of the franchise.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was a champion body builder Shoshanna. Stallones intense training for this film is what made his face so different.
Not sure if anyone else is having any issues with the audio, but the film volume is super low compared to the reaction audio.

For a heavyweight champ 5 years is the upper end of a championship reign. With 11 years being the longest. Back in the day. For reference. Mike Tyson was only champ for little over 3 years. In a fictional world. Rocky being champ for 4-5 years is impressive.

Apparently it was just intense training that leaned his face, less fat on his cheeks. It was 3 years between Rocky II and III

No Stallone just looks older here, he also was on a intense training regiment for this film where he was basically trying to be as lean as possible, he was at like 2% body fat for this film so his face looks so sunk in because of how lean he was, in retrospect it’s quite dangerous
Yeah he trained with one of Arnolds workout buddies Franco Columbu. Also a lot of steroids. I saw that recent interview with Stallone and he talks about how bad it felt being in this shape and becoming bulimic trying to stay in this shape.
