saw this in theaters, at some point i realized this is just live action Fern Gully and now i can't unsee it. - human guy working for Capitalism Machine searching for Resource gets lost in jungle - almost eaten by large lizard thing, saved by otherworld girl - runs through jungle with glowing plants falling in love with her - gets hazed by otherwold “biker gang” - makes friends with Big Flappy - meets shaman-witch mother figure of otherworld girl - is shown Big Magic Tree with floaty glow spores at which point humanguy changes allegiance and rallies otherworld people to fight giant killer Capitalism Machine at Big Magic Tree, riding Big Flappy to save the day. I could keep finding scene for scene match-ups too, like, it’s the SAME MOVIE. They literally just made live-action smurf-elf Fern Gully with corporate techno military exposition instead of Tim Curry sludge demon.

Excited for the dark knight reupload haha

Just a reminder before anyone asks, they already saw The Way Of Water in theaters when it premiered.
