Schindler's List

When, at the beginning of the movie, you watch a man in a room by himself dressing for dinner and are completely riveted, you know you are in the hands of a master filmmaker. From then on the film's artistry captivates at every scene, dealing with wrenching material while painstakingly avoiding the slightest trace of the sentimentality you often find in Spielberg, right up until the final and completely earned outburst of emotion from Schindler in the climactic scene. By the way, I've heard (though others would need to confirm) that the unidentified person placing the roses on Schindler's tomb at the very end of the movie is Spielberg himself.

GOAT movie. Seen the reaction on YT a while back but definitely will check this full version out at some point, glad its here
