She could’ve ended the war if she wanted to tbh if she gets close enough to Fire Lord Ozai. 🤣
Ooo let’s goooo I can’t believe I wasn’t here when this ep dropped 😭😭
Getting 0 reaction for sokka defending the moon spirit SMH
I remember when this episode came out when i was a kid. It was so creepy and now it’s one of my favorite episodes because of the introduction of blood bending. Blood bending ultimately will become one of the most powerful bending techniques. You’ll see once you guys get to The Legend of Korra
i have a feeling vince would love the show called Psych Not saying to react to it but GOATED show
Something I have been thinking about. (unrelated to episode and show) This is not to be rude, so please don't think that. I know you two have been doing it for years, but I find it kind of sad that you experience all of these movies and shows with earbuds, and only listening on one side... One of the most important things in the experience is sound. Now I'm not an audiophile or anything, but I feel like listening to an earbud in one side can't be a great experience - maybe one of the worst. I feel like you're missing so many sounds, music, and things said. I know it's not with everything, but I can tell there are things you guys miss. I definitely recommend getting two nice headsets. you'll still be able to hear each other if you're in a chat, and you'll get to experience movies and shows how they should be experienced. Trust me, it will make a world of a difference! Anyway, just wanted to say this randomly. I've been watching a lot of shows and movies from you guys, even now one from 3 years ago, and it's just something I noticed. Just wanted to give you my advice, 'course I won't be upset if you don't do it! lol. Still very much enjoying your reactions! but I want you guys to have a better experience too! :)
Do yall remember that ship the group of waterbenders suspended in ice back in kataras home? That's the same boat Hama and her tribe raised up 60 years before😂 thats so cool
I am so excited for the rest of this show, i hope you guys decide to watch legend of korra as well
Rewatching this me and my coworker talked about blood bending, is it only during the full moon??or was she not able to control Katara because she was a fellow water bender that can counter it??
In the flashback where the fire nation ship was suspended in ice during the raids was a callback to the first episode where aang and katara set off the “booby trap” inside the ship signaling zuko
didn’t know what episode this would be since i only did one watch through once you guys started because i was hooked, literal chills as soon as you said the puppet master😭been dying for this one
holy this ep shows how strong the water tribe really is and the ship the water tribe lifted in the flashback was the ship that Anng and katara went on with the trap back in the first ep in season 1 season 3 is too good
Blood bending is crazy, kataras roster of abilities keeps growing.
A conclusion that you can come to about why the fire nation was kidnapping water benders: Because the Avatar among the air nomads was never found, the fire nation wasnt sure if they killed the air nomad avatar during the genocide, and they knew the next avatar would be born in the water tribe, so they captured every bender to see if they could capture/kill the new avatar before they could discover that fact.
Btw, that’s not katara and sokkas mother.
22:55 good question vince. Btw can you all watch legend of korra after this!!!
This episode terrified me when it came out (still does tbh)
This is another favorite episode of mine, it blew my mind when I first saw it! I don't really like the term "filler episode" for ones like this, like so many like to do. I guess it is by definition, but an episode like The Great Divide from book 1 is also a filler, and you can't compare that to this. The Puppetmaster actually gives us more lore about the Southern Water Tribe, about Katara and Sokka's mother, and we learn about new techniques of waterbending we haven't seen, and the ultimate one; bloodbending. And it's something Katara learns by the end of it. So I think it plays a very important part in telling us about the lore of the world, a specific culture, waterbending at its best, the background of some of the main characters, and the development of one of them. So yeah, that's just my opinion on fillers. I know it technically is one, but I don't like to look at it that way. Fillers to me are like the Great Divide. Completely meaningless, boring content that doesn't matter to the plot or main characters. Just these two tribes that seemed made up on the spot, and we never hear about them again. and it progresses nothing in any way. That is filler to me. Anyway lol. I'm really glad you guys enjoyed this one! It really surprised me. I never thought Nickelodeon would go this dark for one of their shows, that we'd see something like this. But yeah, I love it. It's great that they don't shy away from the potential each form of bending has. and I just loved the whole theme of the episode, starting out in the forest at night telling spooky campfire stories, to a sus old woman at an inn, possibly being a witch. Then the whole reveal that she is a waterbender from Katara and Sokka's home tribe, and uses bloodbending under the full moon. So good.
Top 3 episode of the whole series the writers are so creative
Great episode, next week though 🔥 the next few weeks are the best episodes of the whole series especially the finale
The crazy thing is katara is so powerful she can bloodbend without a full moon 😭😭😭
shhhhh
That was Gran Gran in the flashback. Katara’s mom would be closer to Hakoda’s age, not Hama’s. 😅
Pretty sure it was Hama. Gran Gran was still in the Northern Tribe 60 years ago and she isn’t a waterbender
I was waiting on this episode katara is OP 💪🏾💪🏾
This one of the best episodes. This took Katara bending to the next level
Now you see the alternative bendings Earth- Metalbending Fire- Lightning Conjuration Water- Bloodbending
don't forget the special fire bending the combustion man can do!
Such a great reaction! Cannot wait for next week🔥🔥
That wasn’t Katara and Sokka’s Mother in the flashback when Hama told the story that was probably katara and Sokka’s grandmother
No, it was Hama. Their grandmother was in the Northern Water Tribe 60 years ago
Blood bending is insane this episode was so great!!!
As if Katara wasn't powerful enough haha, blood bending is the craziest bending concept i think they came up with.
Ouuuu this one is so good !
This episode would’ve been even crazier if it was on HBO
I mean they did some petty wild stuff in Legend of Korra given the channel, but yeah absolutely.
