None of yall realized that longshot spoke for the first time in the whole series 😂
I remember watching this episode with my little brother when it aired, and when Longshot spoke we were both shocked. That was so powerful and immediately told me Jet didn't make it. Longshot would not have been moved to words if Jet were just injured. Then Toph saying "he's lying" was gut wrenching confirmation. I didn't care for Jet much until this episode, and seeing his mental anguish at losing his sense of self was moving. To lose him right as he's making a real turn for the good was awful.
Amazing episode i love irohs speech. Aang and appa reuniting is so beautiful

I’m back
This show doesn't really deal with death too directly because it was targeted at a younger age slot. The sequel Legend of Korra is much more blatant and direct with deaths since it was targeted at an older age group, teenagers.
Reminds me of a scene ... "Youre just a kid!" "Well you're just a teenager"🤣 the difference is much less tbh its only really 2-3 specific scenes
One of my favorite episodes!!!!! And yeah RiP JET. 🥺 he was a great character. nice they brought him back this season.. to help the team.

Here’s what I don’t understand is that why Zuko at this point cares about capturing Appa and Aang even if though he knows that his father and sister are trying to capture him? It’s like what’s the point, the deal he had with the Fire Lord has expired.
He thinks that they will welcome him back once he has aang, iroh KNOWS that's not true and he tries to tell zuko a few times but zuko is truly blinded by his expectations that have built up over his last few years (ig I could just say hes delusional)
I was starting to think Episode 17 was the friends we made along the way. That was a tense hour. Thank god nobody freaked out or overreacted. 😂
