First time watching a show for the first time with anyone reacting so its fun to see theories and how they pan out. So my guess is that he is just seeing his fathers ghost and his memories of him are making Jack get some enthusiasm from wanting to prove his father wrong.
Lost is one of my favorite show I love stranded survival movie and show Tom Hank Casy Away remain one of my favorite little too slow pace for some but it great to me TH actually lost a lot of weight to make the movie look more realistic too very dedicated actor.

Great reaction as usual. Also keep them theories coming, this show just really allows you to go deep in your thoughts. I'd love to experience it for the first time, but this is just as good. Its killing me not to fill in the blanks, but the answers will come. Two episode Wednesday??? Its just a thought, i'm remaining hopeful lol. I'll be satisfied regardless.
I'd wish to experience it for the first time too. LOST is one of those shows that the first time you watch it is one of the best. It's not an easy rewatch like TWD or GoT because it's so iconic and it just hits you so hard in the feelings the first time.
Honestly this is a series I’d pay extra just for you to finish love this is my favorite series of all time

I know how to swim but I wouldnt have gone out there. Its a death sentence. Ive had experience with long swimming excursions without a life jacket. Add the ocean tide to it and no way. Youll just have two people dead instead of one. Gotta be a loved one for me to try, im sorry not a stranger.
That is correct; Boone did say he used to be a lifeguard. Also, can we have some mod scrub the comment section? There are clearly people here who can't help themselves but partially spoil the plot by hinting at things without being asked.
They do drama so well in this show and how they have it enter the show... Walt being the one to say "the pregnant lady fell down" makes it seem SO urgent and shifts the whole tone of the episode
The soundtrack of this show gets me in my feels every time. Especially with all the events that have yet to come. Thank you guys for taking the time to watch this show. It's very special!

This is one of those shows where it's fair game to read into everything and have deep thoughts about everything. I also think years of watching shows has prepared yall for the mindfuck of this show.

these early episodes are so special, they really have their own vibe with the characters getting to know each other same as the audience does. Matthew Fox is such an underrated actor, he really put in a lot into this role. but especially the conversation between locke and jack is a substantial foundation setting moment.... i know some people might give me flack for this but s1 john locke reminds me a lot of iroh
When Lost finished back then, I wanted Matthew Fox in everything, I was so sad he barely did much more. I'm currently enjoying watching him in Party of Five, it's chill and he's even more handsome 🤣
