Every time this episode comes up I tell myself I'm not going to cry, but then Mako takes us there with his singing.... RIP Mako.

Y'ALL once you see this one you gotta look up "leaves from the vine" on tiktok (and just iroh in general)

This is 100% the best "filler" episode ever. Iroh's tale has always been my favorite, followed closely by Momo's. With Iroh you see how he's always doing his best to better the lives of those he comes in contact with despite the pain he carries every day, no matter how they initially come at him. And with Momo we see the real turmoil the loss of a close friend causes this creature everyone loves but usually just thinks of as a pet. We see that hurting, the search for a bond in any place he can, and his despair at the thought of never seeing Appa again. Having lost my mother so recently, those stories hit me pretty hard on this re-watch.

RIP uncle iroh voice actor . That scene breaks me every time . The death of iroh son brought him a new lease on life and peace and love

Zuko is in a situationship with Mai at this point of the show so that's 1 reason it's complicated on top of him being a fire bender 😅
