Wong Shi Tong's voice actor is the guy who plays Joseph the driver on Princess Diaries.

In my interpretation with the explanation of toph saying that she has trouble seeing in the sand and how its blurry she was able to sand bend at them she just didnt hit them because she struggled seeing where they were and on top of that holding that building up she had to make a choice to save them or save appa and she made the most logical decision

Sand benders are a sub bending form of earth bending so there earth benders and every element has sub bending forms

Aang tends to rely on Airbending more than other Avatars because It's a huge advantage for him, you can do it anywhere even tied up like Aang did, you can't normally visually see it, and Airbenders have been fine for a century, no one alive has fought an Airbender until now. It also is heavy in evasion and wants pacifist in preference, and finally of course he's less trained in the others.

Ya the firebenders are a problem even without bending. Katara keeps a small amount of water in her pouch for water whip attack but if your not around water it's a weakness.............atleast that we know so far.
