Batista died because of his own bad decisions. He was blinded by his obsession to catch Dexter.
Angel was blinded by his obsession with catching Dexter. He completely bocked out his knowledge that the BHB only killed killers.
Look I can agree with you on Doakes and Laguerta, ESPECIALLY Laguerta cause Dexter took direct actions against both of them which caused them to get killed, EVEN if he did not kill them himself. But Angel to me is a different story. Regardless of who Dexter was, he did not take any direct action against Angel even though he knew Angel was after him. The most he ever did was try to make Angel seem unstable to Detective Wallace, but even then, he did not go out of his way to do it, it was a response to the Detective confronting him about his time in Miami. I would argue if Angel would have been smart, he could have still pursued Dexter back in Miami by convincing Quinn to pursue it based on his new knowledge, maybe try to get the FBI involved again. There were ways he could have pursued this without getting himself killed. I mean what was he thinking? If Prater was in danger from Dexter that means Prater is a bad guy, and a rich one with lots of bodyguards at that. What was he hoping to achieve? And then even after Dexter freed him, instead of dealing with the immediate threat first, then focus on Dexter he just blindly went after Dexter and that is what got him killed. Sorry for the long rant but that is just the way I see it.

Based on Shosana's logic that Angel's death is Dexter's fault then you could argue Angel's death is Debs fault. If Deb killed Dexter in the container instead of Maria... in theory Maria, Deb, and Angel would all still be alive. 🤦♂️
Vince is not using his brain. Ofc angel would try to warn prator because he's a public figure. And he was desperate to get something on dexter to show the police some proof.
Vince was right Angel was next. He not a cop so he was off brand from th start smh . If Angel a Cop he has to tell somebody they in danger no matter what the person has done. Angel don't believe in letting Dexter being a vigilante. The FBI let's criminals know all the time when they life in danger . They get them off the street . Then they ask them to snitch.
Quinn doesnt care, he is a dirty cop, he let dexter get away with murder because he pulled some strings for him, Angel however is a lifelong friend who believes Dexter killed Doakes and Maria, ofcourse he is the one to want to go after him.
Right, in the end it is your decisions that determine your fate. Angel doing that also put Harrison in danger. There are only 2 members of Dexter's original group left. And Matthews unless his character passed.
Interesting, I was definitely emotional from that scene, but I didn't have the feeling you guys did with it. To each their own though! Different opinions are fine, and I get it, as someone that loves his character as well. Ty for the reaction.
It's real shame, because the tone, acting, and a lot of the writing was way better than New Blood, but the Angel angle was just STUPID from start to finish. The NY cop was more than enough to be a threat to Dexter.
Cope some more, it fits the narrative theme and dialogue threaded throughout the entire multi show series.
Idk how we ended up with Quinn and Masuka being the last of the og crew alive and well.

I wish angel survived 😒, he should have never done that since he has a daughter. Quinn don’t got any family so it makes sense for him to be the one to chase Dexter.

A lot of ppl say "well Batista did what he did because there's no way he would let it go and go back to Miami" Yes, that's understandable..but that isn't the issue...the issue for me is the Batista I know from OG series is way smarter than the way he was portrayed in Resurrection. Here he was making stupid decisions one after another, looking impulsive and clumsy. The show really should've kept him alive for the series finale as the one who captures Dexter and instead used Quinn as the one killed by Prater.
Batista was always stupid when he's emotional. Maria was the same

Bay harbor butcher files were part of the police department he saw those files and he had the information from our favorite FBI guy that most of the had a criminal or murder record. That was added to the records. He didn't know about Deb and laguerta.
I LOVE blessing, hes such a lovely character... dexter needs a favor to help keep Harrison safe and hes immediately "say no more" its amazing
I LOVE how directly Dexter explained what hes been doing to Harrison, its like what I wished he would've said so many times to just make his ally more aware of whats happening
