omggg bro this is my movie🥲so underrated fr!!

Peter Jackson makes some great movies! From middle earth to a Space in the middle of earth and heaven.. knowing what he looks like you can spot his cameos. He was testing out a film camera in the photo store as the dad was walking out looking at suzie's pictures.

Oh I almost forgot to mention, in the book, before she dies, Susie & her sister play a hypothetical murder game and they agree that an icicle would make for the perfect murder weapon because the evidence would melt away. It’s such poetic justice that an icicle causes Mr. Harvey to fall to his death. I wish they had included that scene between Susie & her sister in the movie.

I watched this years ago too but only once. Such a hard movie to watch but was so beautiful. When she says she was murdered I got chills and of course cried many times.

This film was directed by the same guy that does Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit movies.

I read this book in high school about five years before the movie was made. The contrast between her being trapped by Mr. Harvey while her family is at home having dinner like any normal night is so excruciating. It shows how quickly and easily these things happen. Ugh!

The dad figured out that he had something to due with Susie's death because of the roses. While Susie was alive he took care of the roses because then he could be outside and watch her, but once she was gone he had no reason to be outside so he stopped taking care of them.

Yo this movie crushed me as kid bc I had a huge crush on her… I wanted to jump through the screen so bad 😭

Also thought id add, Stanley Tucci (Mr.Harvey) told Entertainment Tonight that this was one of the hardest acting jobs of his career (even saying he would cry after certain scenes), and that he would never revisit a role like it again. He also originally rejected the part due to the dark nature of this story (took it eventually because he needed work), but ended up earning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination.

This is a DREAMWORKS movie??? They'll sign on for anything hilarious or emotionally devastating huh?

This one is tough. Well written and acted, but real tough because this sick stuff still happens today with these weirdos. Wasn't gonna watch it again until yall reacted to it

yeah man, a complete one and done for me the absolute long way. A great movie you can only watch once…

Stanley Tucci had a really hard time playing this role because he has children. Took a lot for him to get out of the killers headspace. Yes it's VERY common for killers to keep trophies. It brings them back to the high they got during the kill.

My aunt had me watch this growing up as a lesson. It was definitely helpful.

A sad masterpiece . 🔥 . The ending is the only part I would have changed . Definitely a tough watch . But a underrated good movie .

Nope. Never watching again. Too depressing. Messed me up for days. But I hope yall enjoy! It’s a good movie. This is on a short list for me where I’m like nope. This and Eden lake.

Damn. Alright I'm strapping in. You actually have seen Rachel Weisz (mummy) she was in Black Widow movie. Not super memorable though.
