hello new member here a couple suggestions is house of dragons ( HBO ) , POWER ( HBO ) , ozark ( NETFLIX) , OBLITERATED ( NETFLIX ) , OUTER BANKS ( NETFLIX ) , LOCK & KEY ( NETFLIX )
House of the Dragon and knight of the seven kindoms please and thank you
Hey guys, I know it's a late comment, but I wanted to say that my favourite character, along with Jon Snow is Theon Greyjoy. His redemption arc was amazing. He had one of the, if not the worst, of everybody next to death. He in the end believe that his Stark family was his true family, and he died defending them, which is very honourable. He always tried to do better but was lost and never had a proper parenthood.
It is ned not being smart enough because he ended up dead when he didn't want to. If he was smart, he would have just protected himself a bit more and 1. Not trusted little finger and 2. not given cersei time to plot against him after threatening her.
I felt like everything that ended up happening made sense as an endpoint. My problem was how rushed everything was in the last two seasons with only 7 and 6 episodes respectively. Aside from that my biggest gripe will always be the assassination of the character of Jamie Lannister. So brutal
PLEASE WATCH HOUSE OF THE DRAGON 🐉 🔥
Please watch House of the Dragon! Fun characters, great action, even bigger dragons than any you've seen, the Targaryen dynasty at its most powerful, and a whole new period of the world! Agree with everything you guys said about the finale!
alot of people looked at jon going to the nights watch as a bad thing but he loved being beyond the wall and if you think about it he could be king still king beyond the wall. it makes since that way for him.
Back in s4 Tyrion said that I wanted to see every single one of kings landing people die…. 🤷🏻♂️
Loved watching my favourite show with you guys! Hope you check out House of the Dragon
I really appreciate how positive you guys have always been. I’ve seen you watch movies that are heavily banned or even hated by a lot of people and you’ve always managed to stay positive and have a great time. This is one of the first times I remember you guys being real disappointed—and that’s total value for all the reasons discussed. I will say… as much as I hate this season, the finale was as good as we were gonna get after the five episodes before it. Daenerys always wanted to “break the wheel”, but her claim to the throne was that she was the “rightful queen”. You can’t really have it both ways. Her death forced Westeros to essentially create its own Republic with voting from the Noble houses, which does actually break the wheel. John returning to the North is a bit underwhelming but it also fits him. He doesn’t want to be king. He doesn’t want power or fame. He wanted to save the world from the White Walkers. Remember, he volunteered for the Watch in episode one. Him returning to help the Free Folk rebuild their home, after uniting them with the North and giving them true freedom, is poetic in a way. Brien of Tarth becoming Lord Commander of the Kings Guard is a REALLY underrated ending that I wish we got a bit more dialogue for. Same with Grey Worm leading the Unsullied to create their own nation with their own banners is awesome. We needed more episodes to bring them both full circle better but I love their endings at least. Aria, Sansa, Tyrion, Sam, Davos, and even Bran of the Blackwater all got good endings. So it’s not all bad.
Now what will I do with my 12am Thursday mornings 😭
I wanna see you guys watch house of the dragon
I love the show I wish they had more seasons like they were supposed to do and have a better ending I genuinely would’ve been satisfied if Jon sat on the throne and killed the night king at the end
Crazy to think how close ya'll were to everything really kicking of the first time you started this show. Super glad that ya'll came back to tackle it again, I appreciate you both. I enjoyed how hype ya'll got at the highs, how gutted you seemed at the lows, and everything between.
Disabling comments on polls? That’s where I head out I think. It’s been a pleasure but the audience you’ve accumulated has been beyond disappointing and pretty destructive. Sorry to see yall perpetuate it.
HOUSE OF DRAGON NEXT PLEASEEEEEEEEE
As bad as everyone says the ending is, I enjoyed this episode a lot, I do think they should have took more time with it but trying to end a show, especially how strong the writing was in the begging and how good the cinematography is throughout the show, it just hard to satisfy everyone
I still believe bran was the villian…. This man saw the future and made one where he became king
Bran couldn't see the future. Just the past and the present
I think everything that needs to be said has been said. I'll just add that, despite the rubbish context etc etc etc, the (first) Jon and Tyrion scene and the Jon and Dany throne room scene are both really well done - the sort of dialogue/character-driven stuff we should have had loads more of. Perhaps not earned, perhaps the context spoils it, but, trying to be positive, I've always found those scenes to be very good. Beautifully shot, acted, soundtracked etc - esp. the throne room scene. Also shout-out to the dragon wings behind Dany shot. And Emilia Clarke's speech, horrific though it was in so many other ways. But what tears me up the most is poor Drogon nudging Dany's body, checking if she's alive. I feel so sorry for that poor creature. He's lost even more than Dany now - because he's lost Dany, as well as his brothers :( #JusticeforDrogon
I think it’s a testament to the quality of the show as a whole that you still think, despite everything, that this is one of the best shows you’ve reacted to. I think most people would agree that it’s one of the best shows ever, despite the drop-off. Which is, as I said, a testament to its quality on the whole - certainly to the quality of the first few seasons, which stick in the mind always. And even the worst episodes and seasons, as I’ve also said, do have their merits.
Welp time for knight of the seven kingdoms or house of dragon, (knight of the seven kingdoms should be watched first then house of dragon in my opinion)
The scene with her touching the throne with ashes falling was teased back in the earlier seasons when the warlock stole her dragons and she was seeing dreams
When Jon was talking to Tyrion he wasn’t fully sure but when he talked to Dany the next scene he fully realized she was crazy and she will always think she’s right
House of dragon good
House of dragon
Please watch House of the Dragon! It carries the same essence GOT had and the cinematics really are beautiful. And also, more DRAGONS! But thank you both for your long commitment to the show. It took me a few years after the final season of GOT to finally give it a chance and it's definitely one of my favorite TV series of all time. My favorite characters were probably 1. Jon 2. Arya 3. Ser Davos 4. Danerys 5. Tyrion Favorite seasons: 6, 4, 5, 1, 3, 2, 7, 8 Much love!
My Top 3 seasons! 1. Season 6. 2. Season 4. 3. Season 1
I don't think Season 8 was as bad as people make it out to be, but it was definitely rushed. Having the Night King defeated, Daenerys go mad, King's Landing destroyed, and the entire story wrapped up in one season was just too much. Scenes like Jon telling Arya and Sansa who he really was happening off-screen, or Jon killing Daenerys and then suddenly everyone being in King's Landing, felt really jarring. I still loved the show overall. The acting was fantastic and Season 8 had some amazing moments. The problem was the pacing. Once they ran out of George R. R. Martin's source material, the showrunners rushed the ending instead of giving the story more time to breathe, and that's what hurt it most. My favourite characters were Jon, Arya, Sansa, Sam, and Tyrion. Overall, Game of Thrones is still one of the greatest shows ever made, and one disappointing ending doesn't ruin the entire journey. Also, give House of the Dragon a chance please. It's so good!
I ask you how much time has passed since you watched breaking bad and still did not watch better call Saul. The same will happen to this series if you wait for polls. Continue the journey in this universe, house of the dragon is a very good refresher after this garbage ending. Also please start better call Saul, there are so many stories related to breaking bad
Season 6 was easily top 3. I’m with Vince 100% on that ranking. Btw opinions belong to that person. But Chernobyl is 100% better than walking dead and breaking bad is 100% better than walking dead. As far as shows yall have watched. Stranger things is better than waking dead too😂😂
Bruh.. she did ALLLLL that for 8 seasons just to get killed by her lover before she could even plop that ass on that throne even once 😂... ughhh such terrible writing. Truly one of the worst throw aways of an otherwise fantastic character
Bran a couple episodes ago: I cannot be the lord of anything. I’m the three eyed raven. Bran today: hmmmmmk I’ll be king teehee 💁🏻♂️
The journey is not at an end. Please don’t let the other shows of this universe up to grabs in the polls. Like better call Saul and other examples, the best thing you could do is continue watching. There were many comments during these reactions where you wonder about events that take place in house of the dragon and a knight of the seven kingdoms. Plus it’s releasing another season soon
i am so glad you both enjoyed Game of Thrones!!! you both NEED to watch House of the Dragon and a Knight of a Seven Kingdoms, i know i sound like a broken record commenting on your posts, but you both would LOVE those two other shows!!! Watching you both react to this show was so much fun, and i really hope you stay in this world, and give the other shows a chance as well!!
Worst final season of all time but dont worry, house of the dragon next is back to peak GOT
Avatar is replacing this
The two head writers got arrogant and rushed the last two seasons. It essentially ruined their career. I don't think Jon was nerfed he's going to be the absolute leader of a massive land above the wall. His leadership with the wildlings and nights watch is a strong foundation of something beautiful.
I actually loved Jon going back above the wall with the wildlings. It's heavily implied he's starting a new Kingdom up there. Also Brans knowledge makes him the obvious choice for king. I never saw Dany living. The extra dialogue and story is what the story needed. Jon is going up north with people who see him as an absolute legend. He has loyal wildlings and nights watch which can create the foundation of something beautiful above the wall.
I’m happy I finally watched this show. Peak Highs and basement lows. It was a worth the watch. It deserved the hype it got back then. Thanks!
What a journey.. any chance of a live stream like with TWD? 👀
I'm with you. The episode was ok but definitely not great. They really dropped the ball this last season. The build up of Jon's story from him dying at the wall, being brought back, the battle of the bastards, him leading the fight against the dead (he should've been the one to kill the Night King), then the whole lead up to finding out he was a Targaryen, the TRUE heir to the Throne, only to have him locked up and sent back to the Wall?! Ridiculous. This show shouldve ended with him being King of the 6 kingdoms.
Mistreatment of Jon Snow first the build up for a showdown with the Night King but was taken by Arya and making like he would have been named the new king but taken away by Bran
finish daredevil please
Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is soooo good, it had the highest rating episode in TV history that caused Breaking Bad fans to spam negative reviews 😅
Still no episode was better than ozymandius
Tyrion, Jon Snow, Daenerys, The Hound, and Tormund were my top 5 favorite characters in the show I think! My favorite villain was definitely Ramsay Bolton. Iwan Rheon stole every scene he was in. My favorite season is 4, but 1 and 6 are high up there! Least favorite season is obviously 8. I liked 7 a bit more on this rewatch with you guys than I did when it originally aired but it’s still second to last. Cheers!
AKOTS Next?
I feel like Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Actor) is so underrated, his performance in game of thrones is one of the best i have seen an actor do.
They could be doing house of the dragon next if we weren't doing Y7 Airbender
From GOT to some cartoon anime shi lol. With this ending and once Dexter ends, will be unsubbing for a bit till it hotd or another good show is picked
So when the showrunners couldn’t follow the books anymore they asked George rr who he would’ve made the king at the end of the books and he told them bran
Thank you. The only smart one it's Drogon! He destroy the throne!
House of dragon next ??
Nah A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Lol if only Jamie and Cersei went to the other side of the room where its completely free of debris or hide under the completely intact dragon skull.
BTW Stannis is alive in the books. So is Mance Rayder. He is helping John try to infiltrate Winterfell and see if Ramsay actually has Rickon. So many storylines from the books were removed or botched. Varys’ grand plan completely removed as well.
Just for context. HBO wanted ten seasons. David Benioff and Dan Weiss got offered their star wars project, they wanted to leave so they crunched these last two seasons. Their star wars project gets cancelled and now they are hated for screwing this up. Also after season 5 where John is stabbed is where the book material finally ran out. They were already running out of material halfway through season 4. George RR Martin gave them an outline with the big story beats but the rest was up to them. If you read the books the early seasons are mostly beat for beat especially season 1 which is basically verbatim. Also there are so many more characters in the books that we never see in the show so that also creates problems when they are combining stories that go against characters characterization.
I’ve really enjoyed this journey with yall. I’ve only ever rewatched GOT with reactors and you guys have been one of my favorite reactors to watch this with. I hope you guys consider watching House Of Dragons and Knights Of The 7 Kingdoms sometimes in the near future…
This series finale got rated 4/10😅
Loved the journey🔥. It’s always so painful when reactors get to this season and witness the cliff it fell off. But hopefully that doesn’t put you off the spinoffs in future.
And now my watch has ended
Game of Thrones is an epic journey filled with 100 tales with a lot to love and plenty to make you mad. I'm glad we made it!
What will be next
Hopefully AKOTSK or HOTD
This has been fun watching you guys react to this show.
Thank you guys for blessing us with this amazing journey, I know the last season was rough but still a great ride 🔥
LAST GOAT DAYYYY
React to Money Heist
