Surely if they had gone to get DNA from that guy, then him just confessing to having sex with the victim shouldn't have stopped them. They had a court order to collect DNA from him, so if they found, or find, anymore DNA evidence at the crime scene, or on her, then surely they would need his DNA to either place him at the scene, or exclude him from their enquires.

Harry didn't kill himself because of Dexter. He killed himself because of what he and Vogel had done to Dexter, for what he feels they had created. Truth is, they had nothing to do with what Dexter was, he was 'created' in that shipping container. He was always going to be broken, and I think that Harry blamed himself for not being able to put him back together again. Harry tried to save Dexter from himself, and Vogel wanted to use Dexter as a case file for one of her books. Either way, they both failed him by channelling his urges into killing serial killers, instead of trying harder to cure him of his condition.

it may be too early to say but vogels acting is up there with trinity killer in my opinion as far as staying engaged for all of their scenes.. great addition this season
