PlaynixOS 1.3

Hi! Little update for the Playnix Console OS before next month restock!

If you are interested in getting a unit next month, you can set an alarm in the website to let you know when stock is back -> https://playnix.io

Changelog:

  • Fixes proton incompatibilities with Sonic Mania and other 32 bit games

  • Fixes EmuDeck installation issues ( Yes, I know... )

  • Fixes Time zone selection ( a restart is needed after setting it up )

  • Adds SteamOS library sharing, you can now insert a SD Card reader in any of the USB ports with games installed in another SteamOS / Bazzite device and it will recognize and add them to your Steam Library so you don't have to install them again. Games installed from the Playnix Console on the SD Card will also be compatible with other SteamOS / Bazzite devices.

  • Updates pacman repositories and other dependencies like Mesa drivers to newer versions from March 2026.

The update will install automatically on boot, you'll see a yellow "Updating PlaynixOS..." message, keep in mind that it might take quite a while so please be patient and let it finish, your machine will probably reboot once or twice during this update.
