Merry Christmas! Vacation time!
Hello everyone!
We’re going to take a few days off. This year has been really tough, and both I and the rest of the team could really use a short break, so we won’t be around until January 2nd.
That said, we’ll still keep an eye on a couple of important things:
Patreon issues (subscriptions, perks, etc.)
Playnix orders that haven’t been shipped yet
What’s coming at the beginning of 2026?
Playnix Store restock
I’m changing how the store works. Instead of building units through custom orders, I’ll be making a fixed number of units and then putting them up for sale. This should let me give you much clearer timelines on when you’ll actually receive your unit.
I might even keep the store as a Patreon exclusive, since this ended up being way more work than I originally expected. Because of that, I’ve asked all reviewers to hold off on publishing their videos for now, I simply couldn’t keep up with the order volume.
PlaynixOS – first OS update
This will focus on quality-of-life improvements like better 8BitDo support, Steam Deck SD card compatibility, and more.
EmuDeck Android – missing features
We’ll start by adding proper artwork support to the frontend launcher, and then move on to CloudSync, both for our default launcher and for those of you using ES-DE or other launchers.
EmuDeck RetroLibrary – SteamOS fixes
A recent SteamOS update broke things. It’s partially fixed already, but it still needs more work. I’m also looking into ways to make it survive future SteamOS updates and generally make it more solid.
That’s the plan for now, but knowing me, I’ll probably add more things as ideas start popping up again 😄

Is the migration to python (Emudeck 3.0?) for Windows still on the docket?

Would anyone have some video tutorial of how to get emudeck and the games. I’d no problem getting it downloaded but when it came to getting the games, obviously the part no one shows I’m completely lost. Someone please share a link of a full tutorial
Are you guys still sending out the codes for the lifetime memberships? I bought it a few days ago and never got anything. It’s okay if I need to wait till after the holidays. Merry Christmas!
I dunno when you'll see this, but Cloud Sync hasn't been working for some people, including me. I can't set it up as it's perpetually installing. I can wait till after your vacation, though. I just wanted to comment this so you'll see it when you get back. Merry Christmas!

Just a note. Picked up a Rog Ally X, installed Emudeck on it, complete mess, controls do not work on a lot of games, Switch (Yuzu, Eden, etc) bios does not show even though it's in the folder as directed. on Windows, I would l love for you not to need Steam input for controls, just to use the Windows based controllers. This happens even running it from steam.
Steam Input is a must on Windows, at least right now, back in the day it was impossible because how Yuzu worked, maybe things have changed so I’ll take a look some day. Controls should work fine, do a reset settings in an emulator if they don’t work and keep Steam open at all times
