EmuDeck 2.3.3 - Retro Library & CloudSync

Unstable branch:
- Retro Library update ( SteamOS / Linux only... for now )
New theme customisation options, horizontal navigation and Logo grid game lists.
New artwork parser powered by screenscrapper.fr
Box artwork dimension based on original cartridges for each system.
Faster loading times, less than 10 seconds for a test library of 100.000 games
New lossless compression for covers, logos and screenshots.
New game detail page with information about state saves, playtime, cloud saves state, retroachievements. (WIP)
Known bug: Sometimes it will hang at startup, if that happens just restart your Steam Deck.
Update it by opening EmuDeck and reinstalling it

EmuDeck's own cloud, works as Steam Cloud. "it just works"
7 Day backups for all saved games, just in case "it just don't work" sometime
Free for all EA users
- Rest of cloud providers reorganised. They are still available as they won't go away but the support won't be the same since some of them don't work not because of CloudSync but because of the own provider limitations.
- New login using licenses alongside the Patreon token.

Would you consider launching the cloud sync app separately? I'd love to use it for my in place emulators on my pc, so I don't have to re-setup all of them with emudeck.
My steam deck will not remember that I have EA so I cannot access cloud sync please advise
Hello, How do I get support for the lifetime emudeck purchase? I can’t figure out how to use it.
Never used cloud but I’m trying to set it up between my pc and steam deck. Seems broken, it definitely doesn’t just work. unless I’m dumb. Help please
same here, i actually left the patreon for a few months because how broken emudeck had become on my main machine. it took a fresh install of windows just to then reinstall emudeck and have it work. i have most of my back ups but Cemu, Ryujinx/YUZU, Xenia cloud back ups are gone. currently trying microsoft cloud backup working. good luck
How do update to this new version?
Retro library is generating the database infinitely for me. It worked fine before updating it. Any idea what's going on?
Are there any plans to replace Yuzu with citron?
I updated and now I am stuck Emudeck says no Patreon account and I am not sure if I need to do something different for a license but even using a token it says I am not logged in?
Use the token you got by mail, don't login as patreon

"Tokens can only be used on one device" so how do I try out syncing it between two devices?
Login in each device, don't paste the same token.
Why does cloud sync fail when I test it the next day?
Why do I need to login everytime I open emudeck on a different device? Is it only one device per patreon account now? I have all handhelds from gpd to steam deck.
it's a bug, just login if you are asked to until I find why it's happening
One benefit of using other cloud providers is I can access the saves at any time outside of emu deck. Is there any way to download EmuDecks cloud saves outside of a sync context?
+1 for wanting to be able to access my cloud files same as the traditional posters
When I used cloud sync I see two profile folders for cemu so when I play on my Bazzite install it will not actually let me continue in my Steam Deck since they both use different profile folders. How can I have one single profile folder?
I'd upload saves from the most up to date device, then delete the saves in the other devices, setup cloudsync and download them all. Make a backup just in case

yes. i would like the ability to turn them off since i use emudeck on a desktop, and the popup is just annoying and unnecessary. i understand it's for the deck, and i use it on my deck, but the option needs to exist to turn it off for users also using it on desktop.
I waited specifically for this update before I tried installing the unstable beta branch (aka clean install) and the installer is failing. It ACTS like everything worked (the install screen with sonic only shows for about 5 seconds) but I have none of the folders and I can't setup cloudsync. I'm getting a whole lot of "variable not found in settings. adding filepathhere" in the console. After I close and reopen emudeck the installer starts over. I'm using Manjaro.

Hi! Question - I have EmuDeck EA on my Deck, but also play games on my computer from time to time. I'd like to take advantage of the CloudSave feature but I cannot download EA on my computer because I only have the one license. Is that by design? Is there a way around it?

Hi After the update, I cannot reinstall EmuDeck (it only shows a white or black window). Also, the Retro Library does not update; even after removing and reinstalling it, it remains stuck on version 1.4.1. :( Bazzite OS
it's still 1.4.1, I won't update the version till it gets to stable
Had to reinstall on the steam deck. Cloud save with emudeck cloud is not working- upload fails. Has anybody gotten one drive to work with syncs since the 2.3 update?
onedrive is one of the non recommended providers, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I'd suggest using emudeckCloud
The cloud update is only for Linux ?

When's the windows stuff coming, it seems a long time since any significant update
soon, we are adding more emulators in the windows side and working to get it up to speed to the SteamOS version
