This is the EmuDeck Machine
HI!, after several months of work and more than a few nights with no sleep I can proudly present to you the EmuDeck Machine!
First of all please don't leak this, I want you patrons to be the first to be able to get one unit.
This is a render of what the case will look like, not 100% decided in the colors, maybe more white than grey would be better.
The idea behind the EmuDeck Machine is to make hardware easy just as EmuDeck did with software. I've priced it as low as possible so it's also affordable but Indiegogo takes a big cut ( they are going to make more money than I will ) and then there's the dollar - euro conversion.... maybe if I sold a lot I can get better prices, we'll see.
Anyway, this has been possible thanks to you and all your support these past months, I couldn't have done it without you so thanks a lot!!! Because of that I'm giving priority to all of you to get your EmuDeck Machine before anyone else and an early bird price too.
You can read all the details and even reserve one in the IGG link:
https://igg.me/at/emudeck-machines
PS: To all of you wondering, this doesn't mean things will change on the software side of EmuDeck, if anything it will bring more features. CloudSync, Rom Library and the EmuDecky plugin exist because I envisioned the EmuDeck Machine with those features so many months ago and those have ended up being in the regular EmuDeck for everyone of you :)
Again, thank you all for your support!

Idk why but it reminds me of the Dreamcast, something about the silhouette Edit: it look exactly like the Dreamcast Prototype
I think grey looks great, but like others have brought up, please be very very careful. Bringing in an actual product that can be sold and shipped can start drawing attention of other companies, and Nintendo especially can't be won against. This is a cool product, but I think it's reasonable to be concerned about how this might impact the service from a takedown perspective
This ended up being canceled because of lack of interest and for the possible risk of affecting the software side of EmuDeck
What is the current status?

I love the idea, but don’t make it your priority. Similar consoles have failed or never released. Make this like a semi back project and work on a possible prototype in the background. The emudeck service is everyone’s priority.
Please focus on the software as that is the reason most here pay.
Shipping to Australia (unavailable), will this be resolved? Or are we excluded for a reason?
Emudeck: There seems to be a probleem with controls with Dolphin,, i did all reset but it seems not working after a update? (Using development version of dolphin for achievments)
Hello. Saw that there’s a DIY version… sweet! To confirm… this is barebones and just the case (which is beautiful), power supply? We put in the M2, Ram? Sorry to ask… but to confirm… will it come with the motherboard/processor?
only the case + PSU, you have to bring everything else: motherboard, processor, ram, etc.
Looks like a DreamCast lol
This seems cool but I feel like it's a bit redundant? Like it's a cool idea making a steam machine that's focused on emudeck, but the whole appeal of emudeck to me is unifying your emulation and steam experience, I feel like most people would rather do that on their own hardware with a more general gaming aim. Either way I hope it sells and love everything yall do, bit of a left field move but i wish for it's success!
I was really interested in this, but no Windows is kind of a game breaker for me... I don't know really anything about the OS you're putting on, but my experience with getting old PC games and more importantly mods working with SteamOS on Steam Deck was miserable, taking hours to get things working, only for some Proton updates to break things again. I ended up just installing Windows on my Steam Deck to get away from the headaches. Without delving into non-constructive Linux vs Windows debates, is there any way to install Windows 10 on this like you can with Steam Deck? Or is the OS here going to have better modding compatibility? I know compatibility is hard to answer since there are so many different things, but it's a big factor in spending ~$600 for me. Thanks regardless, this seems really cool and it's awesome to see, just might not be for me unfortunately
Looks like they are doing a custom pc build with a special case and an os and their software preinstalled. Nothing is gonna stop you from buying your own windows license and installing it. Doesn't seem like they are getting special pricing based on the specs and stuff so if they added a license they could add like 50-100 bucks and then it would need to be for the appropriate country and stuff.
Soooo I backed you(before the DIY option and no controller option). I cannot login to IGG for some reason IDK blame facebook I guess. Love emudeck. Love reducing the complexity around pc gaming and emulation. I almost immediately backed it(before I saw the no controller option but I do not care enough to cancel and reorder) Couple bits of feedback/ questions. You do not show or talk about screen connectivity for the non DIY(Was that there in the beginning?). I am assuming there will be an hdmi port right? Usb C talks about a connector not the tech underneath. What kind of usb protocol is this gonna be? Standard 5gbps usb 3.2 gen 1 or 10gbps gen2? Or one of the fancier ones? Any audio ports? Is there bluetooth? Now that I see the DIY version. Does that mean this will be fully user upgradeable with a standard ITX board and a socketed APU? Socketed RAM and NVME Storage? If it is off the shelf parts what motherboard doesnt have the standard array of connectivity in the back? Could you provide some information about the overclock? Thermals? Dimensions? Brands of parts being used? The addition of the DIY option made me realize this is just a prebuilt pc with off the shelf parts. Supporting someone who, in my opinion, is doing something good for the community adds value here even though I can probably just build this myself for maybe cheaper I do not know without knowing the specifics of parts. Low added value for the technically inclined in terms of product but this does not appear to be unfair by any meaning and I can not wait to play around with it when it ships.
Hi, thanks for your support and for understanding why I did this, I've seen a lot of hate calling me a lot of ugly things when I just wanted to create something easy to use, not even making money of it. There's a HDMI port. USB 5gbps 3.2 gen 1 Bluetooth audio This is fully user upgradeable, RAM, CPU, NVME, everything. That was goal #1, you buy the machine so you can do whatever you want with it :) Parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dragoonDorise/saved/#view=LRTGjX
How easy will it be to swap/replace parts if you have knowledge on how to build a PC?
If you have a screwdriver you can upgrade it.
Why only shipping to USA or EU? I live in Japan and would love to get one
I'll add more locations in the future, every country has it's own laws
Looks awesome! How do both versions compare to steam deck? Based on the fps and playabilities listed, I'm clocking steam deck in between the two versions?
Yeah something like that
I can’t wait for more info on the dock. Will it be thunderbolt 4 so that it’ll work with my other devices (rog ally x)? Will it have other port expansions? Will it have storage bay?
Nope, just the GPU. No thunderbolt or oculink
I’m getting big “game dev tycoon” vibes and I love it. If you haven’t played that game, this is the main way to become the overlord 😂
Really cool concept, but I'd much rather just have a cool itx case like this that I can put my own hardware into. I think most people who want to try emudeck will have a handheld pc to use it. For a desktop or TV setup, I think it'd be more feasible to just release a case with the front usb
This is for people that doesn’t have the knowledge to build its own PC
It does look like a dreamcast, neat to see the product concept...
Could you add an option to exclude the controller? I already have enough.
this, i do not want/need another controller
Including Nintendo games in one of the screenshots is a very, very risky move. I'd really recommend removing those and just sticking with Steam games in the images, or maybe some homebrew emulated games.
I second this. Nintendo is psycho.
I appreciate your obvious work and planning as its very ambitious, but I'm still not convinced as to why someone wouldn't buy a handheld of their preferred performance, install bazzite and dock it to the tv.
Da Steamcast
Please be careful!! The moment you start monetizing things, corporations start becoming very aware!! I don't want Nintendo to take down my favorite homebrew platform!
woooo!!
Unavailable in the UK
Same here…
This looks fantastic! I've got a a few similarly powered mini PCs already so I'm not in the market for another one right now but I really hope this succeeds. Best of luck!!
Can the Indiegogo project ship to Canada? I cannot join the project since it won't ship to me
I need to figure out how to homologate the product for Canada, more locations "soon"
Cant be ship to Canada ?🇨🇦
I need to figure out how to certificate the product for Canada, more locations "soon"
Tremendous product execution, terrific work
I’m in!
Wow! This Looks amazing.. Like a shrinked Dreamcast. Some questions: On EM2 is the Mainboard a standard micro-ATX one? Can i start this machine with my Controller?
Mini ITX
no shipping to elsewhere other than US or EU?
Later
I imagen shipping to Spain Will be easy
And free
interesting, will it ship with an preconfigured OS?
Yep
I'm super interested. Before I slam that button I would like to know if the RAM and SSD are expandable!
Yes
Donthe see through purple from the bold game boys and n64
I know you're trying to keep it secret, but this is being recommended to me on igg on my front page, I think the secret will be out very soon.
Lol
Interesting. Looks like the Dreamcast.
I'm really confused and checked the date because it absolutely does look like a Dreamcast...
But.. But my wallet!
Would like all usb c ports on the front, don't need full C with display out but it's better for connectivity and speed. Us uber geeks buying this stuff are early adopters and I moved 99% to usb c a long time ago and dislike older usb with a passion. too many other new devices recently - Aya Neo AM02, Pocket S, Miyoo A30, RG40XXv etc so will keep an eye on this for future.
I've been USB C only for like 4 years so I get the feeling. Problem is I only could have 2, so I had to go to 4 USB A
Really neat but I unfortunately can’t justify buying one when I have a PC and a dock for my Steam Deck but I appreciate the product. I hope it goes well for you
Looks fab and the specs on the website are impressive. Nice work!
I never heard anything about this! I want one!! GORILLAX RETRO GAMING.
