Everything in its own time Luke. There is time to blue ball and there will be time for cool jump. The longer the wait, the better the payoff. =)
lol at this part I was dressing myself up for work, when their manager says the formation of date tech, I just heard they use a bunch of shit, I was like wtf hahahahahah
i love when hinata does his kageyama hair thing edit- tanaka is the only player on Karasuno who has played every play in every game at this point, so Kags saying that is extra annoying for tanaka. like kageyama was subbed for Suga when he freaked out vs Oikawa and that time he got a bloody nose. Hinata and Tsukki get subbed for Noya when they're in the back row and sometimes for serves. Asahi wasn't with the team in the beginning, missed practice match vs Aoba. Daichi died that one game. Only Tanaka is constant.
When Kageyama said that Nishinoya was in the way, what he said wasn't simply "You're in the way.", it also can be interpreted as something along the lines of "You're a nuisance.". So it was ruder than it actually was, hence why Nishinoya reacted that way, even more so because everyone knows that Nishinoya's a really good Libero. On the other hand, what he said to Asahi, "Then make the damn ball." (or whatever it is he said) was ruder than it actually was. What he literally said was "Then please make it/get the point." but his tone was pretty rude. I'd say it's closer to something like "Then freaking make it." They national coaches did say this, but they said that they hoped that the other players who have been hitting Kageyama and Miya Atsumu's sets won't be surprised when they go back to their own teams, but it is also the case for Kageyama. When he sees how good everyone is and getting used to that, going back to the messiness and bad habits Karasuno has created that frustration and disparity between expectation and reality. Also doesn't help that Miya Atsumu literally said something like "Anyone who can't hit my sets is just an idiot." and his "goody two shoes" comment that Kageyama is ruminating on also comes from him. Kageyama's been pretty lost and confused at what to do and how to treat his teammates. He was too far off in tyranny before, but after the incident he was too far off in the goody two shoes side (even though he was still rude outside of the act of setting itself so it was hard to tell). Even Oikawa, who literally got the best setter award, is recognised by many (including Kageyama himself) as a really good setter, doesn't baby his teammates. We've seen how he treats his teammates. He tells them that they can talk to him whenever regarding if a set should have alterations for them, and he can accommodate them, but he'll still push them. Like when Kindaichi asked for an alteration for his set, Oikawa listened to him, but told him to hit a bit more the way he's setting him to try. He also told Kunimi that he can slack off but when it comes to the end of the game he's going to put him to work. We can see the result of this when Kageyama notices that Kindaichi and Kunimi have been playing differently to what he expected out of them. On the path to getting better, there is often a drop before it rises again. Karasuno is playing worse, because they're trying to hone their new weapons instead of using the weapons that they're good at and know work. Ukai is right though, Kageyama is bad at communication, but the others haven't really done their part either. Kageyama's still setting really well, so he's frustrated that his team is playing badly (especially since this is his first game since the training camp). But his teammates haven't communicated that they are working on new things to Kageyama, so he couldn't possibly know to expect mistakes. We see this where Asahi was ABOUT to tell Kageyama (after Kageyama already lashed out at him) that he's working on something new but got interrupted. But having a coach that understands the players and giving them guidance that they need is very important. Ukai knows when to let them have their little rifts to figure things out on their own, but he also knows when to come in and intervene or say a thing or two. I see people in the Haikyuu fandom that actually kinda trash Kitagawa Daiichi for guiding/coaching badly. They don't really mediate, they let problems fester until they reach a breaking point and explode, and the teammates are often fighting with each other. Post Kitagawa Daiichi, Kageyama has learned to work with others and his "kingly" tendencies accommodated, where in Kitagawa Daiichi he was pushing his teammates too hard but the coach didn't mediate or guide them. Kindaichi we saw was the one who kinda lashed out at Kageyama, but he actually just really cared, but without the coach aiding and channelling that into productive conversation between the team (who were LITERALLY 13-15 year-olds), it ended in that. Oikawa was so stressed and cornered that he almost hit Kageyama who was asking for guidance. Now Oikawa, Kindaichi and Kunimi in Aoba Johsai are all playing better, have teammates they get along with, and are actually working together as a team and resolving issues and challenges that arise as a team.
Side note: they did try a rebound, I believe it was Asahi that tried it? But rebounds are hard in the sense that if your opponents figure out that you're trying to do it, they can just slam the ball down, which is exactly what happened haha...😬
I love this king moment. You can see in Kageyama's smile that he finally feels like he belongs, and that he can finally leave his middle school trauma behind. He has full trust in his team and in himself. I love his confident face in this scene combined with the ost. just pure love!!!
Can’t wait for next week!
When people jump in the comments to attack mispronunciations all they are really doing is exposing how new they are to your community. They haven't had that Tsukki moment where they fell more in love with volleyball (volleyball of course being a metaphor for your reactions in this case). Jokes aside, I feel like one of the reasons people in your community aren't jumping to your defense is that the ones that have been here long enough trust that being in your community for long enough is gonna chill them out naturally. I do get aggravated when I see people get mean in the comments, especially when the reason they feel entitled to do so is for $1 a month. The internet is a weird place. Anyway, I know for every person irritated that there was 10 seconds of the anime not being on the screen, there are at least 10 others that are just silently enjoying what you put on the table. Looking forward to the Subathon!!
I do think there's more to it than that. I've long learnt that trying to confront an aggro person is a waste of time and energy - nobody involved benefits, everybody involved loses. I have better things to do than morally educate the 14 year old that subbed with their mum's credit card because this is the only way they know how to pirate anime. Just block, report, ignore and let them yell into the void. I imagine that I'm not the only one that has come to this conclusion.
The jump is such a blue ball thing I hated, when I first watched it. But Hinata got 2 new things (Receiving and new Jump) so I get exited when they play, because I want to see it
