The fact that real heroes powers and abilities are known, so UA intentionally broadcasts the sports tournament so that their students abilities are known for their licensing exams, is a nice touch. It makes perfect sense to try and prepare students for how things will be as heroes, especially since this is a job that puts you in life or death situations.
