Love that you watched this! I do think you should listen to Destiny's Childs Albums! But next should be Made in America 2015. Also to give you some context around the songs that were emotional, Kelly had just gotten out of an abusive relationship! When DC got back together after their first solo albums they recorded their conversations about their experiences and then used them to write the album so when you said the lyrics sound true they are! Kelly's song Dirty Laundry is about Beyoncé trying to rescue her from the relationship! Maybe give that a listen too! :)

What you’re hearing is not just Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle standing there with three naked live microphones somehow producing a perfectly mastered Destiny’s Child chorus in real time. They are singing their solo lines live, which is why the lead vocals sound loud, exposed, breathy, and right in your face. But when the chorus comes in, the polished studio harmony stack comes up underneath them, and they either sing along with it at a much lower level or let the track carry most of that section. That is why the group vocals suddenly sound smaller, smoother, perfectly balanced, and almost fused into one voice. Real live harmony does not magically remove every breath, vibrato difference, timing slip, volume change, and microphone movement. Those choruses were built in the studio with multiple takes, doubled parts, compressed vocals, tight editing, and all three voices blended into one controlled block. The concert track gives them that signature Destiny’s Child sound while their live microphones add enough fresh vocal on top to keep the performance alive. So you're not imagining that they sound incredible. They do. They recorded those harmonies, they created that blend, and they could sing the parts. You're just hearing the finished vocal architecture supporting the live performance, not three women independently recreating the entire record mix from scratch every night. The easiest giveaway is exactly what you keeps noticing. The solo vocal sounds human and exposed, then the chorus suddenly sounds like the CD entered the building wearing heels.

This was my first ever concert and I'll never forget it til this day! And I've been to every Beyonce concert since.

This was their farewell tour so they went big! The Destiny Fulfilled album was so well done and will live on in r&b history. It was pretty strongly based on a relationship Kelly was in and was made to support her and women that found themselves in similar situations. It was when the group really found their sound figured out their structure with Michelle there as an equal. They really ended on a high note which most groups aren't known to do. The result of that is a fandom that 20 years later is desperate for more. They really did it right!

Btw, those are legendary rappers TI (first one) amd Lil Wayne (second one). HUGE names in their own right.

But as far as new girl groups for newer generations wish I could’ve been there … in terms of destiny’s children … We have 2 to look out for Flo has already been making a heavy mark .. and we have 3quency that’s up and coming … both PHENOMENAL girl groups
