If I remember correctly, Qilangos is a sequence 6 windblessed of the storm pathway. Him and Alger (The Hanged Man) grew up together and went on many adventures. His Mystical Item, the Creeping Hunger (that glove) allows him to 'graze' other beyonders and use their powers. It can hold up to five beyonder souls at a time and use 3 (I think) of their powers chosen at random when they are first grazed. The downside is that it has to be feed a human body and soul every day or it eats the wearer. It also makes you bloodthirsty. It makes Qilangos the equivalent of a sequence 5 in power. Creeping hunger is made from a sequence 5 'Shepherd' beyonder characteristic.

I think a lot of thing seems weirdly convenient cause of the episodic format of the donghua. This loses the build-up in novel that makes the events flow seamlessly and things makes sense as to why it happens. For example, audrey met Fors way before this pirate quest and only then gave the mission to them cause she already knew Fors. But in donghua, yeah it seems weird.

One thing I'm curious about is how Klein got the Sequence 9 Sun formula. I remember him getting Sequence 4 from staring at The Sun, but does this mean he got the formulas for 9 - 4 all at once? Or is this a situation where how he got that formula is also cut content? I don't remember S1 mentioning him getting multiple formulas, but since I don't think Klein has even met anyone from The Sun pathway, I doubt they just skipped an entire arc of him learning sequence 9. Plus it kind of makes sense that after nearly being burned alive, he'd have an understanding of The Sun up to sequence 4, rather than only knowledge of Sequence 4. If the Grey Fog could protect him against every God, then Klein technically has the potential to learn A LOT of formulas with this dangerous and cheesy method of acquiring formulas.

Both the new girls Fors and Xio are sequence 9. CR's shit subtitles cut it off, but you can see the numbers in the chinese descriptions on screen there. It is interesting that Fors can use a Sequence 5 ability though. Considering she removed a stone, symbols appeared all over her, and then Xio commented on her using a stone, and Audrey commenting stones were missing, it's safe to assume that bracelet is an artifact that lets you use a stone to use the spirit door power. I'm actually kind of curious about Xio's ability. It seemed almost like she was able to give commands for people to obey. Though she used it on a dog, so it just as easily could be an ability that lets you intimidate or speak with authority, or something. Definitely seems like it'd be a cool power.

So the Sun got the potion formula for the Sequence 9 potion: Bard in the meeting. That doesn’t mean he is a Beyonder now. He will need to gather the main ingredients, the supplementary ingredients, brew the potion and then consume the potion for him to become a Beyonder. But without the formula he couldn’t even start with the first step which is gathering all the necessary ingredients.

They actually have the entire series planned out. Season 2 was supposed to come out early next year but supposedly production is going faster than expected so they hinted that they might release it later this year instead. Either way it should be around winter sometime.

if the on-screen text is cut off, you can still see what number sequence they are if you read the chinese text. even though it's all written in chinese, the number of the sequence is written with arabic numerals so you can atleast read that much

Info for anyone who might've missed it: Qilangos is a sequence 6 wind-blessed of the sailor pathway, so the same one as Alger, just a higher sequence. He possesses the creeping hunger, which potentially has abilities similar to those of the sequence 5 shepherds of the secret suppliant pathway, who can eat a beyonder's body and soul and partially use their abilities. This makes him much stronger than a typical Sequence 6 and a much more versatile beyonder. Fors wall is a sequence 9 apprentice of the apprentice pathway. She managed to use a sequence 5 ability of her pathway when pulling a bead off of her bracelet, so make of that what you will. Xio(shorty) is also a sequence 9 but of the Arbiter pathway. Also, the location of Alger at the start of the episode was the 'Sonia Sea ', which has previously been mentioned by Emperor Roselle in Special Episode 1. What was being said at the start(pretty sure anyway) is that Alger is a double agent for the mandated punishers/church of the lord of storms and is pretending to be a pirate. Qilangos knows this and the two seemingly grew up close together, but has not told any other pirates. He presumably wants Alger to give him some info on the mandated punishers/church of storms.

Fors and Xio are both Sequence 9. Fors' bracelet had the ability of a Sequence 5. Also, they were visiting the house of their informant, the pile of bones, when they were attacked
