Thank you for giving this movie a chance knowing it may not bring much attention. It deserved a watch and imo this was the best way to do it with us, the niche audience you have. Really appreciate you doing this.

Dawood Ibrahim was a mafia boss in Mumbai & literally was terrorizing people, including the film industry which is based in Mumbai (Bollywood). They were extorting money, threatening famous actors, director, producers & shooting them in the open if they refused their demands. Mumbai was terrorized by the underworld until the early 1990's. It was after that the entire underworld was dismantled & police encountered hundreds of gangsters & Dawood fled to Pakistan. So for someone who doesn't know him, his appearance in this movie might not seem like a big deal. But I literally got shivers when he appeared. The fact that the same industry he terrorized is in a position today where they can boldly speak up about him is truly something to be proud of

Hollywood NEVER gets diabetes right in their movies. NEVER. But this movie actually got it right. That much insulin would kill that guy quickly by lowering his blood sugar until he slipped into a diabetic coma and his brain stopped functioning. I am a cinefile. You watch a movie that interests me, I'll watch it with you. You should check out RRR, Kalki 2898 AD, and I'm sure others will recommend stuff, too.

This is a comment another user made (credit to them): Both these movies are so good that there is so much that can be written or discussed about them. The amount of true events used in these movies is insane. I have listed some fun facts you can read at your leisure. There is a lot more that can be added to this, but my brain stopped thinking after this... :D Fun Fact #1: SP Aslam was actually killed in a car blast. Fun Fact #2: The reporter who was reporting in the middle of the operation Lyari is a real incident when a reporter was reporting from the place of active shooting. It is shown in the movie very similar to that frame-by-frame. Fun Fact #3: The Indian Drug Dealer Atif Ahmed who was killed while answering press questions is a real scene and you can find that video of him getting shot while answering journalist's questions. Fun Fact #4: Uzair Baloch playing with the head of Arshad Pappu is a real incident. Fun Fact #5: Uzair Baloch was actually convicted of espionage and was arrested in Dubai with an Iranian Visa and later extradited to Pakistan, as shown in the movie. Fun Fact #6: The killings of many terrorists by unknown gunmen happened when Hamza was given a free hand in the movie. Just search "Unknown Gunmen in Pakistan" and you will find terrorists getting shot in Pakistan by unknown gunmen even today. Search any of those names that Hamza kept striking off and you'll find a news article saying "unknown gunmen did this and that" and all those terrorists were from Pakistan Fun Fact #7: Hamza shoots Aalam (his handler) in anger and asks his other accomplice Rizwan to burn the bodies of Aalam and his friend because they were both Hindus. Thus, their bodies must be burned not buried. And it also saves Aalam from being tortured by Iqbal and he gave both of his best friends a proper send-off Fun Fact #8: The training montage at the end shows that Hamza and Rizwan trained together (they were the two fighting in the pit). Which means they knew each other already when they first met in Aalam's shop to discuss saving Rehman's son. Hamza got him into the gang as his right hand man when he came in to rat out about Arshad Pappu Fun Fact #9: Many additional terrorists have been killed in Pakistan after the timeline shown in the movie as well as after this movie came out 2 months ago. Most recently being few days/weeks ago. Fun Fact #10: Ajay Sanyal (Ajit Doval) is still alive and serving as the National Security Advisor at the age of 81 currently. He was also in Pakistan at one point for about 5-7 years as a spy. He stayed as a beggar and collected a lot of info and passed it on to Indian Intelligence. Once he came back he worked his way up to be the NSA. Also, if you noticed when he met Hamza in Dubai he smoked a cigarette and after finishing he put the butt of it in his pocket to not leave any DNA behind. Fun Fact #11: The Muridke base shown in the climax is an actual place which was destroyed last year in a missile strike. It was funded by Bin Laden. It was one of the first targets Indian Airforce destroyed using precision strikes and drones last year which killed over 105 terrorists, it was a response to Pahalgam attack in which Pakistani terrorists killed 25 people in India Fun Fact #12: Hundreds of Operations were merged into one Character (Hamza) for a Better Story Telling Experience. That is why it is called the story of Unknown Men and not based on one single character Fun Fact #13: Javed Khanani was actually found tangled in wires days after demonetization in India and his brother was arrested by US and sentenced for 25 years in prison for money laundering. He is still in a US prison Fun fact #14: SP Aslam's wife in real life really liked this film. In fact SP Aslam was a fan of the actor who played him in this film, Sanjay Dutt in real life Fun Fact #15: Zaheed Akhund Aka Zahoor Mistri was outside his shop when 2 men came on a bike and asked him are you Zahoor Mistri? And then shot him and said 'this bullet is from Rupen Katiyal' ( Rupen Katiyal was the guy who was getting butchered in the flight at the start of part 1) . Fun Fact #16: Zarwari is based of real life Pakistan’s ex-president Zardari who had allegations of taking commission of 10% from everyone. Hence the speech had the new politician say 10% Zarwari Fun Fact #17: Jamali turning out to be an Indian agent at the end was the most insane plot twist in the entire movie 😭 this really had everyone shocked! And the reason why Yalina and Zayan couldn't go with Hamza and Jamali asked him to forget them was for their safety as well as to now blow his cover that he is also an Indian agent. He is actually the big boss (coordinator) in Pakistan who has knowledge of every handler and asset from India Fun Fact #18: Now watch Dhurandhar part 1 and you'll see Jameel Jamali in a very different light. Every decision/move of his made sense as he was always planning everything to help Hamza indirectly including throwing Yalina's phone near him so that he can pick it up and they can meet later. And then he ends up becoming his son-in-law as he is an Indian and preferred and Indian son-in-law for Yalina Fun Fact #19: The ghost scene in the bathroom before his friend dies was not CGI. Hamza actually took 4 hours each time for that make up to shoot that 3 minute scene Fun Fact #20: The blast that kills Iqbal at the end was also not CGI. They brought thousands of gallons of kerosene and put it in those containers that was made of fiberglass for a realistic blast. Since the container was made of fiberglass you can see it blow up into small pieces like that. There is a video of the making of that scene online that you can search Fun Fact #21: Director Aditya Dhar told in an interview that he was a big fan of Nolan's Batman trilogy and that's why in this movie he used some Batman references throughout the movie Fun Fact #22: Jaskirat/Hamza lost both his families between the start and end of the movie. At the end he looks at his mother and then behind him at Mother India. Then he turns and looks straight at the camera asking us, the audience, what kind of dilemma is this and what should he choose between his own mother and Mother India Fun Fact #23: The man in white shirt who helped Hamza into the plane at the end was the doctor of that movie set who was called when Arjun Rampal got hurt on the head while shooting. Ranveer and the director made him do the cameo at the end there to give him some credit

If you go back to the first movie the whole reason he got with Yalina was because of wanting to use her father Jameel Jamali as an associate whom he has in politics. They were calculated moves. He started loving her along the way but always suppressed his emotions as he knew that nothing could remain forever as he was a spy. His first & last confession of love to her was when he asked her "Do you want to know my real name" cause here he risked the mission & everything and put complete faith in her. She always loved him unconditionally. Having someone like that in a place where he had no one who loved him like that was definitely something Hamza needed. Here is an instareel. See it & read the comments for more insight. https://www.instagram.com/p/DXCLnwNj_Iv/ Also see this reel: https://www.instagram.com/p/DYbZGr2usca/ Read the description of this. The lyrics & placement of every song in this movie has such a deeper meaning than what it can seem to be 😭❤ Also notice when he burns the photographs. First of his family then of his wife & son he always starts the fire on his side in the picture, so he can look at them a little longer before they only become a memory
