I also wanted to see Coco pick out a pen rather than the dragon adventure and I think that is the point. Since we have met Coco, she has been going through it from losing her mom to being plunge into a society she knows nothing about to immediately having to take that dangerous test. She hasn't gotten a chance to simply enjoy being a witch and doing a mundane witch task like picking out a pen. That's why we wanted her to be able to have this. She wanted to be a witch for so long yet all she has gotten is terrible experience after terrible experience. And when she does try to do something nice, she is forced back into another terrible experience to remind her that she is an outsider. The Brimmed Caps are trying to corrupt an innocent child like Coco and won't let her be able to be a normal witch.

I'm actually thinking that maybe the brimmed caps has some kind of permanent, invisible ink and have drawn some spell on Coco to enhance any spell she performs. I also think the reason shes been tired is that shes maybe being given dreams teaching her subconsious so shes tired but cant remember why. Also one small point in Agotts favor, if i was told to dry everyone WHILE IT WAS STILL POURING RAIN i'd be complaining too lol. "But its still raining! theyre just gonna be soaked again in 3 seconds, can I at least do something that isnt gonna get undone almost instantly?!"

If you want a French movie, you absolutely should watch Les Choristes. It's live action not animated. Great movie.
