About you mentioning you thinking AI would destroy the world, honestly it's not unthinkable. But it won't be the AI itself, since I doubt it'd even get time to progress far enough, but the people building it that will cause that. Greed is what is causing all of these tech billionaires in the AI sphere to gobble up more and more resources, and influence more and more countries around the world to stop caring about the state of the world, so it's not unthinkable that their greed will cause our extinction down the line. Be that via global warming, pollution or war.

Re: Atheism. As an atheist, I believe in religions. I just don't think their stories make any damned sense at all. Also they present no substantial evidence for deities of any kind, and require belief without said evidence. That is just a placeholder for ignorance. Scientific inquiry, on the other hand, demands evidence for its hypotheses and models. It also recognizances its beliefs as placeholders waiting to be validated or overturned. Scientific knowledge all fits together better - it's like a jigsaw puzzle in progress. The more you (build) know, the more you can recognize when something doesn't fit. So far, no deities have been required.

About your question for life longevity "hack".... the nation with most Centarians is Japan with 80.6 out of 100 000 people reaching 100 y.o. They must be doing something right. Also i think ive read some research about maximum reached lifespan being about 123 years

Jolenta's death may have been tragic but never forget that 10% of profits must go to Potoski.

Yup, I felt the same about Nowak and Jolentta, the man can't catch a break, all his life, he was a mercenary, then put into a job he doesn't really likes but endures, all for the sake of the only thing he had, his daughter, and not enough with that, this heliocentrism thing appears in his life, a kid takes his own life in front of him and thinking it would end there, it comes back and it takes his conviction, his treause, his daughter, just to have that thing still there, stalking him all his life. I really cried for Nowak because in all of this he is still just a victim of the circumstances of its time and the poor guy didn't realised how close he was to having what he loved the most back... I'm 100% sure Nowak would have left everything for her, he is an inquisitor but he is first a father.

Jolenta was such a cool character, so sad we didn't get more of her. On a second watch i really appreciated this scene even more, as I didn't quite get what she was saying, but on the second time I understood it a bit. History and learning are gifts from God the thread she is following, that is why without hestitaton she blew herself up, as it was to publish not just that book but to start the publishing of knowledge, so people can learn, and not lose their way on following the thread God left to them. i think its really cool how her belief is different and unique but also so her from the part before.

Having the conviction to blow yourself (and others) up for your god and belief is a terrifying state of mind to encounter.

Yes. While purely theoretical, science papers do exist about human lifespan, DNA deterioration and cancer cell treatments. Aging is the ultimate frontier, and as such has been something that humans have wanted to solve for all of written history. Stories of witches crafting immortality potions, to the advances of medicine with chemotherapy, it's all an effort to fight off the effects of aging.

I thought the same about that scene. I was hoping for some nice cliche to happen but not this. This show knows exactly what we want and decides to give us the opposite.

Yes. The central character in this story is Heliocentrism. All other characters are just walk on parts. It's amazing that the story can remain captivating with no one person as the central focus. I guess if anyone could be considered the protagonist (or antagonist) in this it would be Nowak.

I'm still of the opinion that in the moment she dropped the torch or right before it, she recognized him and knew she couldn't put him through knowing his daughter was a heretic and that he had to be part of her killing. In this, she made the "right" decision she talked about earlier in the episode.
