This anime encapsulates the essence of human mind. It's important to be flexible , to challenge your own convictions to never bend to your own morals , to question them every once in a while. Experiences makes us change but if we don't question then we remain slaves of convictions. Make sure your own morals and way of life is respecting and following current convictions, if not, there is a conflict of interest, and that will lead to long term unfulfilling life
PS: if experiences change you but a conviction is forcing you to be 'the same' as you were prior to those experiences, don't be a fool and follow that old conviction, that will lead to tragedy/depression/sad unfulfilled life. Modify that conviction or delete it to fit your current lifestyle, contradiction in belief is what slowly ruin someone and chip away at their long term happiness. Never be a slave to anyone, be as free as you can be, especially don't be a slave of your old self.
Absolutely 0 spoilers in the ending. Check it out before you finish.
You could watch the next opening, and maybe the next one after that too
Opening and ending
Since we've seen Jolenta again, the ending is now definitely watchable
Luke check out "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan"
Let's be honest, Nowak perfectly deducing every bit of the Heretic Liberation Front's main goal is an absolute ass-pull. I can understand him figuring out they would probably print the book, but guessing their goal wasn't to free heretics is pretty insane.
You don't understand his methods. Taking the book didn't seem to have much to do with their previous actions but it was clearly something important if they went out of their way to acquire it. As he said, if you hit a wall then rethink your assumptions. It is assumed that the main goal of the HLF is to free heretics as that's mostly what they've been doing, but then why the book? If that isn't actually their main goal then what other purpose could it serve that also aligns with what this book could do? The commonality is it weakens the church. It's simple deductive reasoning.
I'm with you Luke, I still get goosebumps when Draka starts reciting the book to Jolenta. Such a powerful scene.
orby time
Yolenta indeed
Yeah your right Damian was the one who reported the book he found, and then created that book from the shaved heads, he isn't a very important character but one who has a mini arc himself, I struggled to remember him on my first watch too, in fact I didn't now watching it a second time with you I was like yeah its that guy.
No, it was Grabowsky who found Count Piast's book and was tasked by Badeni to go to the beggars with inscriptions in their heads. Damian was Nowak's companion whenever we see him interrogate heretics
