Beyoncé starred in that during the I AM SASHA FIERCE era, which is why she sings that song. She plays Etta James and does a DAMN good job in it. It's a great part of music history that Beyoncé herself mentioned she felt it would be important to introduce to the newer generations at the time. She also starred in another movie around the same time if you're curious, the movie is Obsessed, she stars as a lead along with Idris Elba. You get to see her yell and fight in that movie, it's a good watch too!
