Son Goku is also known as Sun Wukong, the words for both are the same in Chinese “孫悟空”. The former spelling usually known as the character from Dragonball, and the latter one represent the monkey from the original Chinese mythic fiction novel. And one of the characteristics is he can fly using clouds. Also, his weapon is usually a stick that can extend and change size.
The Loki thing felt so out of place because that wasn't in the source material. Supposedly, after the training and the Chaos Brigade fight would have followed a Rating Game against the student council team but here they replaced that with the Loki thing, which happens in a later arc where the strongest people weren't present and presented a real threat. It feels shallow and very out of context. And it's a shame because that Rating Game was a very cool one, with a lot of strategies and every character getting their moments to shine, so we would got to know the student council better. Btw, someone clip the moment with rock paper scissors with boobs. That will be hilarious out of context.
Ye and that is why the auther was pissed and had this studio drop the series and go to passione. So that everything was in order and actually followed the book. Plus their animation style is more accurate to the illustrations in the books too. Don't understand the hate for s4. I got the book for where S4 left off but I'm gonna have to get where S3 is meant to start so I can read the novel. Hey I can read a very long book series. Done it before.
In all fairness, the Loki arc plays out completely different in the Light Novel. I can elaborate after this season. With that being said, Loki is a literal god. Gods and Dragons as a group are the strongest beings in the world of High School DxD. I think the power scaling is throwing you off because you’re under the assumption that the Christian mythology is the strongest in this verse, but that isn’t the case. The Christian mythology is just another mythology in this world. The Angels and Devils aren’t automatically stronger than everyone else (although there are individual Devils that can stand up to gods). As a matter of fact, Fenrir (the wolf and Loki’s son) when at full power is one of the 10 strongest beings in the verse at this point. And yes, Bikou is very strong. He’s a descendant of Sun Wukong (Son Goku in Japanese) who himself is incredibly powerful. Remember, he is on Vali’s team and is a part of the Khaos Brigade, the main antagonists right now. You saw how powerful Vali was. It only makes sense that the members of his team would also be powerful.
