I always find the scene with Grimmer talking about his friend really emotional, I tear up every time. It's bittersweet, yes he remembered this good memory of his friend finally, but on the other hand they had these kids so messed up they couldn't remember their own names so the only thing they wanted from each other was to just be remembered, and in the end Grimmer still forgot him anyway until 30 years later. The kid just liked collected bugs and hot cocoa and gave up the only thing he enjoyed in a horrible situation to Grimmer and all he wanted in return was for someone to remember his name.

I think, the scene, when Grimmer remember the boy is not happy at all. It's intense, becouse he does not remember almost anyhting of his past, and all of the sudden he can recall this memory of the boy. It triggered by the moth it hit him in the heart. I can feel his pain through the scene, the sadness of not remembering his own past, almost forget completly this promise to this boy, and the relief, when he told the old man everything. He is healing, from his trauma very very slowly (
