Emily is giving me chills, her voice is amazing ofc she can in no way replace Chester but i feel like she is perfect for this new era. This is what they needed in order to move on and make Chester live on as they become new again. I'm really excited to hear their new album. And i hope you react to Heavy Is The Crown - League of Legends new Anthem for 2024 her voice in that song is AMAZING!!

Linkin park is immortal, we will always miss Chester, and the same will happen in the future when we lose the rest of them, but Linkin park will never be forgotten, and that makes them immortal.

As an average to dedicated fan (tho' I can definitely spot one of their songs from 25miles away while drowning in honey), I can tell that Mike has written this song while thinking of Chester. And the new singer, as talented as she is, her voice doesn't have the pain vibe, she is emanating anger and simmering rage from a defeated wolf. Not sure this image is something that everyone can agree with. If LP songs run with the rage vibe, I'm totally fine. I just hope Mike doesn't push her to replace him. This song is clearly a Chester song. It can become something else if the rest of the songs in the album are written with her in mind.

It’s definitely a weird situation. I haven’t been a super big LP fan since my early teens, more of a casual one, but I’ve always loved their music and even I feel a bit weird. But this felt like Linkin Park but also like something new, which I love. I’m super excited about Emily, I agree it was the best thing they could have done, to pick a female vocalist for this.

i regret to not seeing linkin park live concert when Chester was still around which was i think about a year or 2 before his passing. his presence is irreplaceable in the music scene but glad to see the group back. nu-Linkin Park

I’ll be honest, I came in thinking she wasn’t gonna be good. But she actually really killed it. I was afraid Linkin Park wouldn’t be the same ever again, which of course it won’t. But I’m glad to know that it isn’t over. LP def made my teen years more tolerable and I have so much love for them, so I’m glad that they finally came back. I’m looking forward to seeing what direction they go.

Emily is such a great addition to the band. As a lot of people already said, different enough to not Sound like a "replacement" for chester but similar enough to make the old Songs work great

IMO its inevitable for people to compare her to Chester. However i think her voice is the right one to contrast Mike's singing. Also idk why but whenim listening to her now i think of Guano Apes.... completely random, i know

Man, real mixed feelings here with all that's going on. Though it's undeniable that it isn't, and won't ever be the same, the new sound sounds really good despite all of that. Also, if you want some underground bands to react/listen to, I highly recommend you check out Johnny Manchild and The Poor Bastards. Something is telling me that some youtuber guy is gonna use AI and replace Chester's voice with Emily's on old Linkin Park songs titling them "what if'..."💦

If you want to hear her vocals more, I suggest going back and watching the actual livestream, where they perform this, and loads of old songs with her, she’s got a great rasp and scream, the studio version of this song doesn’t do her vocals justice

I've had a roller coaster of feeling about this. I started of hopeful, heard the new song and got excited, then heard the rumors of her being into scientology and supporting Danny Masterson during his trial and got sad and disappointed. She did release a statement Friday about it and said she doesn't condone violence again women though. So we'll see how this plays out.

I felt the same as you about not sure what to think about a new front person. I heard about the new song with Emily and decided not to listen to it. Then this morning after watching your latest Demon Slayer episode I saw this video and thought I'd check it out alongside you. It was sad thinking about Chester while hearing this song but I think she sounds great. I'm nervous about what's to come so I'll go dust off my old Linkin Park CDs and give them a listen.
