Aura of Despair has 5 levels, Level 1 is the black aura you've seen Ains emit from time to time (think back to S1 Ep 2) it doesn't really do more than intimidate enemies. Even the Guardians mentioned back then they felt the pressure from it before. What Ains used here on the trolls was Level 5, it is an instant death move, and will kill anything in the radius that I believe doesn't have any resistances to instant death moves. The trolls being so much lower level than Ains just died.
I know how that troll feels I used to play WOW I was level 40 defending our guild village and i killed myself on aura of level 70 player.... I don't play WOW anymore

Overlord is that weird uncle that is kinda creepy and you kinda feel uncomfortable and unsafe and dont really wanna go out with him to town but at the same time u really enjoy his company.
Why the troll doesn't cause any damage is because Ainz (lvl 100) has a skill that negates low damage. I think everything below lvl 40 just doesn't do any damage + ainz equipment, the robe, the rings, etc., as game items, of course also have effects that you have to add to your level

That is not a Bicorn, which is what Albedo can summon. That is one of Aura's tamed beasts, one of the same one's she rode when they first met the hamster. Also, his interaction with Aura is not weird, he see's her as if she is his own kid and is acting fatherly, with concern for her health and social life.

It is not directly told, but there has been exactly ONE sentence that could lead you to the right path (but telling that hint would already basically reveal that mystery).

Anyway, this show has so many misunderstandings that evolve into something, like Demiurge talking with Ainz in the first episode outside viewing stars and, Ainz saying that it is a beautiful sky and would love to have it and Demiurge going ''OK time to bring this treasure box to our master aka world domination" :D
Yep. I believe that with very few minor exceptions (that are pure greed), everything bad that happens in this show could be avoided if promises where kept, people spoke to each other, and didn't act on fear!

I love the start of this episode. Seeing a main character in their proper authority properly scolding their underlings for a mistake that totally could be avoided is a rare thing to see.
Aura is smart and stays silent. In the books Albedo and Shalltear use their mandated free time to convince inhabitants of Nazarick to support their 1st wife claim. Aura stays above it, and only teases Shaltear from time to time. It was Mare that witnessed Albedo assault Ainz. Mare would have no issues subduing Albedo, which he did. Will have to wait for another season to see him in action. Albedos frustration is a plot line that hasn't been resolved in the books yet.
The Aura of Despair can kill. In the first series he used it on Hamsuke, but he used only lvl. 1, you have seen what is did to him and he is a similar level like the Troll. Lvl. 5 is just uncomparable. It obliterated their minds with fear to the point they died.
Reminder that he did say at the end he was going to use their copses to experiment with Undead Trolls.

For despair aura, he used level 5 which is instant death for low level beings. He used level 1 to scare Hamesuke. This not the bicorn of Albedo, it's a dog creature which belongs to Aura. Demiurge suggestions are really sounds this time, foie gras is french for a dish commonly serve on christmas, it's fattened duck liver.
