Duuuuude. The series blew me away, but then, when I watched this movie, I was a blubbering mess of a useless bastard. I already tend to give myself to the emotions an anime is attempting to inflict, so the "sacrifice-to-pure joy ending" was like an isekai bullet train, sending me to a world where I waste like a quarter of a roll of toilet paper saving my face.

I have being able to watch the movie this time without crying which is really surprising because I'm really sensitive usually. Maybe watching Clannad, Frieren and a lot of other really sad stuff made me stronger, or maybe I wasn't in the mood for crying this time. Anyway I'm happy to watch Luke reacting to it, and I hope he will be able to react to the second movie soon, because that movie also made me cry when I watch it and it was so good.

I remember how much this movie wrecked me when I saw the first time. So much so that I didn't rewatch it for sooooo long. It's just a flawless amine overall ☺️ in my eyes anyway

God damn it i can't watch this movie without crying every time. Just hits so hard, lowest of the lows and then the ending makes you cry tears of happiness

I wasn’t really expecting it, but coming back to this movie after watching the 3rd movie (and one scene in that movie in particular) really changed how I see this movie, it’s a subtle change, but still interesting! I will wait patiently until Luke is ready to react to the next two movies.

This movie play hard with the feels ! I love "Rascal Does Not..." so much, you really get attached to the characters and involved in what they're going through. I've yet to watch the next 2 movies released in 2023 in japan, unfortunately not yet available :/.
