Over the past couple of weeks I've been getting an influx of DMs from people asking about the next update, along with a lot of new free members on Patreon. Seems like more people are finding and playing the game.
Either way, I'm writing this to be as transparent as possible with everyone.
I work a 45 hours a week job, and the only time I have to work on the game is after I get home and the weekends.
I don't have thousands of supporters backing the project, so I can't just quit my job and put those 45 hours into development to push out updates every 3 months or so.
Every day there's at least a little progress made, and the update will be released when it's ready.
“But hey, can't you just quit and work on the game full-time? Faster updates would mean more support.”
I agree! And maybe that would work in first world countries, but not here in Brazil. I'm not quitting a well-paying job to rely solely on $650~$700 from Patreon when more than half of that is the amount of rent alone.
Anyway, that’s where things stand, and I hope everyone understand. Keep that in mind the next time you pirate an under-supported independent game and ask for faster updates.

I can only wish you the best Chaq and hope that it all works out with the steam release. I'm sorry you have to deal with all that. I really enjoy the game and most of its characters with their own stories to be told so hopefuly it all works out. 🤗

Just upgraded from free to paid. I really enjoy the VN you are putting together. In a perfect world, we would have all the updates for all of our favorite VN's at lightning speed. But, this isn't a perfect world. It is completely understandable that you must balance work with this project. I don't understand those who become so upset with that reality. Especially when you are just starting out from scratch in the VN world. Not everyone has the following of a DPK or Caribdis and can solely survive off paid subscriptions alone. Thanks for continuing to work on this project of yours. I am sure the thoughts of abandoning it have possibly crossed your mind. I am grateful you press on and haven't given up. And I look forward to the update when it comes out.
