Sad news...
Due to the extreme weather conditions, I've decided to cancel the planned release date, which was supposed to be around August 30 - 31
Since I got back home, I haven't been able to render a single image. So far, the temperature outside hasn't dropped below 38°C (100°F), and today we hit a new record of 41.8°C (107.2°F). Even at night, temperatures stay around 30°C (86°F), so there's simply no chance for anything to cool down
Since I live in an apartment without an AC unit, the situation indoors is almost as bad as it is outside. It's around 31°C (88°F) inside, which also causes my entire PC to overheat. Yesterday's attempts at rendering... didn't go very well
Considering that the weather isn't expected to improve significantly over the next two weeks, I've decided to delay the release. If the forecast changes, I'll continue working through the render queue, and the release may only be pushed back by a few days. Personally, though, I don't think that's going to happen
I'd also like to apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the update this month. I hope most of you understand that this is simply not something I can fight against
Weather like this is not normal for where I live, which is one of the reasons I never invested in an AC unit before. Last summer, temperatures never went above 31°C (88°F). This wasn't something I expected at all
(The update is almost finished. As far as I'm concerned, I'm working on it as usual. Taking breaks or being lazy is for weak people - not for me 😅)

I would highly, highly recommend getting AC, the quality of life improvements are amazing. It's strange how people who can afford it don't realize how big of an impact it makes. The internet, computers, modern cellphones only work because of air conditioning. It can seem unnecessary depending on your climate but more people die in Europe due to heat then American's are killed by guns. Spend the money have a better life.

The boss shouldn't have to apologize to their subordinates 😅. Besides... we're AVN supporters 😁. We're THE TOUGHEST, MOST ENDURING, MOST PATIENT SOB OUT THERE. We're used to waiting and receiving "such" news, good or bad 😉. That's all we do in our AVN lifecycle. Plus, we're all understanding, empathetic people as well 😁 (well, most of us 😅). We just want what's best for our Devs (once again… most of us 😅). Besides... I still can't play (traditionally). I still have no LTop, and I still have to depend on "Unofficial Android Ports" to "play some of my AVNs. It's been a year and I still can't get a LTop 🤣… I'm a 🤡. Besides… we all know all of our AVNs are worth waiting for 😉. It's part of the experiences on these journeys 🌈🚄💨. Good things come to those who wait 👍🏻! Don't worry to much Dream. We got this terrible Heat all over Europe and everything is dry and not enough Rain for even get the Rivers back with enough Water. I'm from Germany, I never seen so little Rain in such a long period of Time here where I'm from, near Cologne. So again, take your Time, stay save and hydrated... a Game can wait, your health (and Hardware) not.

An AC unit is legal here. You obviously have to handle some paperwork and formalities, but it's nothing complicated. In fact, it's not even that expensive. The cost is around €1,000 (including installation) But as I said, this kind of weather isn't normal for this area. It's the first time I've experienced temperatures like this, so in the past I never had any reason to even consider getting an AC unit However, I'll save some money and get one by next summer. Not only because of work, but also because I personally don't feel very well in this kind of environment

That's probably what I'm most afraid of If something happened to my PC, with today's hardware prices I could basically go flip burgers at McDonald's instead of working on my game 😅
