Q&A 2026
Disclaimer:
I didn't include all the questions you asked in this Q&A. Not because they were bad, but because a lot of them already showed up in previous Q&As, and I felt it made more sense to give space to the newer ones. Also, all questions were rewritten (without changing the meaning) to make them more direct
For the questions that didn't make it into the Q&A - I'll reply to each of you individually in DMs
###
Q1: Are you going to make a new AVN after Beyond Tomorrow?
My main focus is BT, so I'm not really thinking too much about what comes after it
However, I do have two other games written. One of them, which I've mentioned before, is called Breathe. The other one doesn't even have a title yet, but the story already exists. It's hard to say whether any of them will ever see the light of day, though. There are always a lot of plans, but most of the time plans just stay plans
Q2: Do you have any favorite AVNs? Which ones do you think are worth giving a shot?
My list of AVNs isn't that big. The one I actively follow and play every update is BaDIK (probably like everyone else)
But even if I'm not playing, I still try to keep up with the work of certain devs that I think are doing a really good job. Hopefully none of them get offended if I mention them, but for example: DreamNow, Kana (KrownGames), Knight, Gallant Trombe, NLT Media, OppaiMan, and of course DrPinkCake
Q3: Daz Studio or Blender?
That's not something you can answer in two sentences. But if I skip all the "how and why" stuff:
Daz: if you just want to make art without putting in a ton of extra effort, it's a good choice. Since you're working with ready-to-use assets, it's all fairly straightforward, and I think Daz gives you the opportunity to learn all the basic fundamentals that you'll later use in more advanced software like Blender
Blender: if you want to get much more advanced and start doing things like environment building, creating your own models/assets, more complex animations, etc... then I'd definitely go with Blender
Of course, every artist will tell you something different. But I've seen a lot of people with zero experience jump straight into Blender, try learning 30 things at once, and quit a week later because it gets overwhelming. Daz is much more direct and easier to get into, so in my opinion it's the better choice for beginners
Q4: What would you do completely differently as a dev today if you were starting from scratch?
If I started over with all the experience and knowledge I have now:
I'd start with a game that isn't built around having a huge cast of characters... but instead a smaller number of characters with a lot of depth and content
I would never touch topics like cancer again. Since the very first release of BT, I've lost 2 close people to that disease. Most recently at the beginning of January 2026, when a relative of mine died from pancreatic cancer. I feel like once I touched this topic, it started affecting my life in a pretty negative way, because you keep thinking about these things and living with them. And sometimes when I read certain stories or things connected to this topic, it gets pretty scary. And even though some people might find it funny that something like this can affect you mentally, the truth is that it affected me more than enough
I'd probably settle into Blender. I've really fallen in love with things like building environments. I wouldn't say I'm especially good at it, but I enjoy it a lot. And if I ever get the chance to make another game besides BT in the future, I'd definitely start fully utilizing that
Q5: What keeps you motivated to continue?
I think it's pretty simple: I just do what I enjoy doing. I mainly do it for myself, because it makes me happy. Sure, there are days when I just don't want to do it anymore because I'm exhausted. But overall, I think that when you're doing something in life that you genuinely enjoy, you don't really need motivation to keep doing it. At least that's how I see it
And of course, patrons play a huge role in it now too. I think a lot of people don't always fully realize it, but there are people out there giving you their money every single month. Instead of spending it on something for themselves, they give it to you so you can keep working on your game. And to me, that's exactly why you should be extremely committed to the whole thing
And I try to be. That's why I keep weekly logs, why I constantly go back to scenes and try to polish things up, because I want to give them the best I can. Sure, I'm nowhere near the best dev out there, but at the very least you can try your best
Q6: What's the most annoying thing about the AVN community?
When someone wants to play World of Warcraft, but they're playing Counter-Strike and complaining it's not like World of Warcraft
Overall, I think it's people who try to push devs into things. Or on the flip side, people who try to discourage devs from doing certain things by saying stuff like "I won't pay you" or "if you don't do this or that, nobody will support you." Some devs give in to that pressure, start making things they never actually wanted to make, and the result is that after a few months the game gets abandoned. And the people who caused it don't even realize they were part of the problem
And when I think about how many devs quit last year (one of them had over 1000 patrons) because of these reasons, it's pretty sad
Q7: What do you think is the future of AVNs?
I'm a dev, not a fortune teller 😂
But honestly, I have absolutely no idea. If you remember what happened last year because of NSFW content, it's pretty obvious there's no real certainty. So I don't even really think about what's going to happen tomorrow. The only thing I know is that tomorrow I'll be working on the next scene. And whatever happens, happens. I guess we'll find out one day
Q8: What would you be doing if you weren't making AVNs?
I'd probably have more money, a wife, and a kid 😂 As for work, I'd probably focus on other things I enjoy, like music or video editing. And in the absolute worst-case scenario, I'd be frying fries at McDonald's
Q9: What does your dev day look like?
I wake up
Coffee + shower
I sit down at the PC and start working
Lunch + spamming Kana with UFO conspiracy theories
Back to work
Go to sleep
Nothing exciting 😂
Q10: Do you have any "dream project" you'd like to make one day?
I'm not a huge fan of games like Life is Strange, but I've been thinking for a long time that making a game in that style (and adding a slightly smaller open world) and combining it with the AVN genre could be a pretty interesting mix. Some moments we know from AVNs as "free roam" could in that kind of game actually become the interactive parts where you really play as the MC. I think a lot of AVNs that have some kind of "action story" would stand out a lot in that format
But of course, none of this is realistic. At least not for me
(PS: if someone steals this idea and in 5 years I see this kind of game on Steam, I'll see you in court 😂)

Awww... no... I didn't get to ask my questions 😭 (and Dream gave us a month in advance 🤣). Some of these I already know 😅… Q2: Gasp… no Ocean (when you make SG Customs 🫨)? Q4: Sorry about your two close people, Dream 🙏🏻. Q5: Damn right! "GIVE IT YOUR ALL ✊🏻🔥!" And what are you talking about? You are one of the best 😅! Q6: Isn't that the truth 😐? Now… Dream… I want Olivia to be a main LI, or else! Kidding, kidding 🤣… just a joke, bro 😜… Q8: Emm… You can still get a wife and kids 😅. Not too late 😅. Hey… McDonald's workers are doing great work and put up with horrible customers sometimes (yes, I eat McDonald's weekly to bi-weekly 😅). Q9: Shower daily… DAMN 😅… And better than me 😂. All I do is get up, work, come back home, and enjoy the night hours before repeating it tomorrow and throw in a shower every two to three days 😅. Q10: LOVE THAT IDEA 🥰! AND YOU BETTER STOP. I LOVE LIS, AND I WON'T TOLERATE THE LIS DISRESPECT 😅. QUICK…FUTURE DEV, WRITE THAT DOWN. WRITE THAT DOWN 📝!!! I'LL DEFEND YOU IN COURT AGAINST DREAM AS YOUR DEFENSE ATTORNEY 🤣. NICE, Dream!!!! Thanks for answering questions, and thanks to the people who submitted their questions 👍🏻! I WON'T MISS NEXT Q&A 😅.
