Oscar Voucher (collage?)
There is a very old little gentleman named Oscar who I've had the pleasure of catsitting several times while his owner/servant goes off on adventures.
Over the winter holiday times, several friends and I got together for a Friendsmas that involved a homemade feast and a little gift exchange. I was really stumped what to get Oscar's owner/servant/dad/devotee until another friend suggested some kind of catsitting coupon. PERFECT! ..........or..........dare I say....................
PURRfect????
Eh? :D
EH??? :D :D :D
So I could have just designed something cute in Photoshop and printed it out, that wouldn't have taken long at all- an hour tops.
What I did instead was turn this into a labor-intensive, golden, hand-lettered, collaged piece of paper craft.
To begin, I printed out the above design and then used white transfer paper to- as the name implies- transfer it onto some black cardstock. Then I lettered it in gold.
Unfortunately, I did not account for how much thicker gold paint would be than a pen line, so my smaller text got kiiiiinda squished. It's supposed to read:
"Oscar Voucher: Redeem for one (1) catsitting event at any participating Erika Moen establishments."
Because gold hand lettering with a brush (because I forgot I still had a gold paint pen that was way better suited) didn't take long enough, I then proceeded to cut out the Oscar illustration as a negative shape from the black paper. Which I then teamed up with some really shiny gold paper behind it!
Ta-dah!
I am happy to report that this was not one of those useless clutter gifts because not too long after I gave it to him, Oscar's owner reached out to cash it in for another stint of catsitting- which I am on my final day of today!
It's always a pleasure to spend time with this little guy. He's hella old, over 10! But you'd never guess it, he looks and moves like a much younger cat.
I guess I gotta make some more coupons so I can catsit him again in the future!

Classy!
Thank you!
That’s so cute! Why not just pass it back to Oscar’s dad when he picks him up? It’d be like a reminder that you’d welcome Oscar’s company whenever his dad is away.
Haha well in truth he keeps it displayed on his fridge, I don’t actually take it back from him 😅
Super-duper sweet and cute. =^..^=
Thank you!
Ooh! You made them an amazing stencil of their cat to spray paint everywhere, that also doubles as a voucher!
LOL- it’s a useful gift!
That would be a hard decision between using it and framing it for me. Except I don’t have a cat so framing it would win.
My friend has it on his fridge, which is kind of like framing it!
I think you should do the sensible thing and just give the voucher back to Oscar's human.
Well just pass it back and forth until one of us dies U_U
Okay but consider, this look freaking incredible compared to a simple printout. Also I love Oscar just from that lil paw alone. Hope Tig is healing well!
She is!! Her shaved areas are filling out with soft, downey fur 🥹
