BLANK, MYSTERY, and CRYSTALIZED
(The Blank and Mystery eggs each include a special rendition that has a flat gem for a sticker location)
These are EXCLUSIVE FILES, meaning they are only available through supporter access for you all to enjoy and will not be made public! :)
IMPORTANT NOTES: These Eggs are slightly different then the previously released Cinderwing eggs please read below:
The lock on the eggs has been re-done to be looser and easier to lock and unlock
The eggs have been made thinner to use less filament and has faster print times then the originals
The eggs have been resized from the original eggs (Dragon Scale & Crystal) and are now Larger to match 100% Egg to 100% dragon. Thus, if you scale the eggs to 60% they can fit 60% baby dragons in them!
Additionally the original Crystal Egg & Dragon Scale Eggs have been updated with the new sizes and new locks as well!
And thanks to Jazzy, all the eggs have been aligned so the top and bottom have the same color when using tri or duel filaments

how small can these shrink?
I wouldnt go lower than 40%!
we tried these several times the top and bottom do not seem to line up ever
are these eggs for full size adults or for full size babies?

I am printing the Mystery egg at scale size 70.22 size of the top and bottom together and once I put them together me and my husband can't get the egg apart

Just FYI, the 100% Crystal Dragon fits nicely in an 85% Dragon Scale Egg. I printed one of these eggs at 100% originally given the 1:1 recommendation (I thought this applied to all dragons but maybe just the baby dragons?) but it's far too big.

OK so I finally made some eggs and this is my sizing recommendations for ADULT gemstone dragons. First off, I made one at 100 percent (huge) idk what that's for, but I can easily fit 2 if not 3, 25" long full size gemstone dragons in it. 80 percent size will hold one dragon, but it's extremely tight fit, and requires some neat folding to get it in there. I'VE LANDED WITH 85 PERCENT EGG TO BE THE CORRECT SIZE FOR A 100 PERCENT 25" ADULT GEMSTONE DRAGON
I have an 18-inch crystal dragon what size egg should I make for it?
its based on scale. so if its a 70% baby, its a 70% egg, its 1:1
On the crystal egg
When I print the separate files the top half of the egg has a defect on the top of the inside what should I do
If anyone else is looking through this for answers if they are having problems - I too was having issues with the top of the inside of the egg - as soon as I added some tree supports - the eggs all started printing beautifully.
I'd love a separate top and bottom file so I can do transition prints that match with rainbow PLA. Please and thank you so much!
You can split the egg to objects, then instead of the global tab - you will need to go to the object tab and change the order that the eggs print in - you will want to pull STL2 up to the top to be first in order, that way your gradient will switch nicely between the two eggs. There may be other ways, but this guaranteed it printed perfectly each time.
I printed the crystal egg, there is a small gap between the top and bottom. When put together.
its likely part might have lifted while printing a little!
So I'm trying to print a bunch of these eggs out at about 70-80% scale to take to shows and sell, does anyone know of any cool windowed gift boxes or gable style handled boxes that are out there that fit these eggs?

I know it says baby dragons but will any dragon (without wings) fit if scaled to the egg size?

FYI everyone, I have successfully printed 60% baby dragons and 50% eggs and they fit. :)
Anyone have any advice for awful overhangs when doing the eggs? Tried my X1C, A1 and a1 mini but the bottom section of the bottom of the egg always comes out terrible due to overhang. Tried slowing for overhangs and also tried no cooling for the first few layers. Filament is calibrated and print beautifully otherwise
I'm still trying to figure it out as well so if anyone has a x1c profile for eggs or has the secret to print them, please share :)
I printed at 25% to use as eggs for hiding, and they turned out great!
What layer settings did you use for this size. I would like to do this for my students at school
In case no one else has tried it, but people wanted to know: I'm SUPER easy fitting 100% tadlings inside of 60% eggs. I haven't tried scaling the eggs down further, but it looks like as low as 45% eggs should fit most (if not all) the 100% tadlings!
A tadling is around the size of a 50% baby drgon scale so that makes sense!
as somebody who prints dragon eggs for a scavenger hunt at music festivals, this is literally so hype
FYI, I printed these at regular Easter egg hunt-size (25%) and they turned out great!

We test everything from 60-100%, but it's a fairly simple shape so I imagine it can go down a bit. Being that the main goal was thinner walls however, you may see gaps if you go too small.
What size would these be for a regular full size dragon?

Tadlings are around the same size as a 50% baby

Does anyone know the trick to printing with dual or tri colored filament? It looks great when I print a dragon with it but when I do an egg I get stripes of different colors in random places.
usually tri and duals like a straight filament path and a good extruder! Sometimes tho they just be like that

Not likely, the Rose Egg was more or less for fun.
Just printed the butterfly egg. Love it! But there was some filament that didn't stick well on the inside of the top of the egg. Does anyone know why? Did I print too fast? Thanks in advance.
the top is a bit of a bridge, would reocmmend checking those settings out
Just for those who want to know. I tested the aligned Mystery egg at 90% and got a 100% scale Dragon inside easily. The 100% Rose egg fit my 125% rose Dragon and a 75% scaled dragon fit in a 65% mystery egg. I know eggs are a big deal and saving filament is a huge plus. Hope this helps others out.

What can these eggs be scaled down to? When I slice just the bottom of the Crystalized Egg it says it will take over a day to print. This can't be correct. Any idea of what is happening? Thanks in advance!

I printed a dragon scale egg at 150% in tri-filament and it turned out beautiful, but scales & colors didn't line up exactly, I was going to send a message to see if you could fix it, but now I don't have to! I just re-downloaded the updated file from Cults, thank you for your amazing work!!! I can't wait to make another set!

When I try to slice the crystal egg "aligned" I'm getting the error "No layers were detected. You might want to repair your STL file or check their size or thickness and retry" Is that just me? Or are others getting the same error?
These were all printed and tested before release. I'd recommend checking your layerheights That being said I will check it out! EDIT: I cannot seem to re-create this. If anyone else has this issue please let us know!
