April Update
Damn it's April already, there are so many things going on, the goods, the bads. Let's start with the bad ones, ever since June of last year I was working two jobs to make ends' meet, I was offered the position and accepted the job with conditions, remote is one of it, everything still went well because it felt like a side hustle and barely takes an hour or two every day. That all changed last December, I accepted a promotion and thought I could handle just fine and boy I was dead wrong, job scopes scaled exponentially that I basically work 7 days a week since to ensure progress on my project! Granted some of you might ask, why couldn't you just backtrack or ditch the side job? More on that later.
Continuing the bads, now we are still on the slow phase of development because after female equine, I have to wrap up the last of species selection before moving on to the actual gameplay, with the final one being Avians (+Feathers and Furs). There is a reason for that, I explained it on the update back in the June Update back in 2025. TLDR if I don't finish up the core species. I will never be able add any more species until the end of the game development due to the number of all animations that had to be re-exported for every single new species introduced, as is the case with this one too, despite just a barebone project, the equine animations re-export already cost me several weeks if not a month at least to process.
Now the start of the goods. And about the side job I couldn't seem to ditch, it's a unique relation with my employer that is evolving into a partnership that could potentially provide the resources needed to scale this project far beyond what I could achieve alone. Amidst the chaos I have potential talents who could help propel the project to the finish line, I've had some preliminary discussions with them about the project's future, ultimately the long-term vision will include revisiting nostalgic places.
